Great Design and Like the Quick Lace Feature

This is my second pair of Solomon, they comfortable and last much longer than other brand. The toe area in this pair feels slightly larger than the size stated on the label. The quick laces are longer than my previous pair making it easy to putting them on. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Comfortable

Shoes are very comfortable wearing. I use them everyday around the house or out and about. The dual tightening system works well, no spots more tight then the other.

Perfect shoe for walks

Been through numerous boots and shoes both in actice service and recreation - this XA Pro 1 is a pleasant surprise in wearability, support and low fuss. Good for walks in the city, nature and short hikes - for daily wear, really comfortable.

Dope shoe

So hands down those shoes are probably my favorite shoe atm. If only you still had the black/grey xa pro 3ds but one can only wish(ran1000sx3 of mountain miles in those shoes. 3pairs) . I’m about to order a second pair of these. Right out the box. be looking like Homer Simpson’s “what are those.” Once I pulled them bad boys into fit mode (tightened the laces) they fit and formed perfectly to my foot and leaves the best toe box, free range piggies. AND they’re unisex. I thought I was gana have some kinda problems because of it but, then again my feet are the true and through staple of what a man’s foot should look and be built like so I knew they would be fine. 20/10 buying an other pair. One for the streets and one for the trails. Let’s just see how long they’ll last though ;)

Perfect shoe for hiking!

I bought this shoe for my travel to Ecuador and they are so beautiful and comfortable. I just enjoy everyday wearing these shoes. They are perfect for hiking and so far it's a blessing but the only thing this shoe doesn't give you having waterproof shoes. I knew that before hand and that's just how this shoe is so it's not a downside but you need to keep that in mind before buying

Poor durability.

Love the styling, the fit can use some work, but feel great with aftermarket insoles. The outsoles though are purely garbage. The did not even last more than a few hundred miles of light walking. Do not buy these if you expect to keep them for anything more than causal shows. The soles do not hold up well.

Style shoe.

This is an amazing shoe if you know what you're buying. I own 7 pairs of Solomons, mostly sportstyle but technical too- XT6, XA Alpine, Speedcross 5 GTX, and others. Comparatively, this is shoe is far more fashion oriented than technical performance oriented. Looks like a 2000s skate shoe and frankly wears similar to one too, arch support not the best but extremely comfortable for urban use where I am in NYC - especially compared to more technical lug soles like the speedcross. Would not buy for use as a trail shoe personally, but it looks great and I love the Goretex beams edition, and could function well as a light day hiker.

Feels like walking on the moon.

I bought these around 2 months ago and definitely have never felt a better shoe, this is my first Salomon pair that's not for snowboarding and I'm in love!

20 years Later

I went through several pairs of these when first released in 2001 - it was my favorite approach shoe for nearly a decade. Hence, I ordered immediately when I saw the re-issue. The fit is the same - with after-market footbeds, perfect for a higher volume foot. I've been walking about 10-12k per day in them for a month. The fit is still phenomenal, and the grip is great. My only concern is they are starting to wear on the sole, and in the heel, and I am worried about durability.
