My favorite winter boot
Great boot, light weight, comfortable, durable, adorable for what it is. I use these boots hard and they are there every step of the way.

Great light weight winter hiking boots
This is my third pair comfortable and durable boots . I also have 8 pairs of speedcross shoes that are just as good.

sweet feet
I got these for my Winter shoes to replace my old worn out ones. Love them, warm comfy and last for quite awhile.

Not actually waterproof
The boots are comfortable and warm but are not waterproof. The insole is constantly wet even after walking in normal damp weather. This makes them unusable in winter. Very disappointed

Amazing boot
I work as a tow truck driver and am outside in the snow, rain and mud. They have held up extremely well and have been extremely dry and warm.

Beware to your laces!
Overall, this is a great boot. Warm, high enough for all around winter activities. Very flexible. I love the boot. However, the laces loops at the bottom of the boot (the rectangular ones) are eating through laces. I didn't complete one winter with the provided laces. There is no smooth shape. Only a sharp edge on which the laces are constantly moving against. I am at my third laces set in a year and a half of usage

Excellent Boot
Wear these daily. The fit is perfect (size 8.5). At -24F (air temperature in Fairbanks AK) these were warm when I started a 2-mile walk with my dog, and they were warm when we finished. Wore Copperfit crew socks. Grip was great on hard pack snow with ice underneath and loose snow on top. Easily sheds loose snow.

Decent boots but not for long hikes
These boots are good and would be better if they were wider. I’m not sure why Salomon likes to keep their boots/shoes so narrow.. like we don’t want Nikes to hike.. we need a wide toe box!

I found these boots to perform extremely well. I was able to put long days of winter hiking on these while wearing snowshoes or spikes. They kept my feet warm and dry the entire time. They did not cause me blisters or discomfort.

Lightweight, fully waterproof, comfortable BUT
I've had these boots for four and a half months. They have been used daily for cross country walks of over five miles in sunshine, rain, muddy conditions and snow. They have never leaked and they are grippy and warm but there are a few flaws. One major flaw concerns the design of the toe box. I don't know why, but it is too low to the toe, putting pressure on the big toe. I have found a way to overcome this by doing something counter intuitive, tightening the laces more than I have with any other boot. This seems to lift the toe box and results in a more comfortable experience. The second flaw is that the sole lacks stiffness for rocky trails and could do with more cushioning. Finally, the opening for the foot is a little too small because of the design of the waterproof gusset (stitched in a little too tight or not using enough material?). If these little design flaws are ironed out I would happily buy another pair.
