Good for the job but serious size issues

Reasonably rugged and light pair of trekking shoes but with serious issues with inner comfort. I upsized to an 11 US from my usual 10.5 but it still tends to ‘hit my fingers’ creating serious issues. Have lost 4 toe nails over 2 treks and have to unfortunately retire this pair. My third pair of Salomons and still struggling with getting the right size

The most comfortable boots thus far!

Ordered online, came next day. These boots are very supportive for my flat feet and can wear them for long periods of time without issue. Highly recommend :)

Great boots

The best boots I've ever had, I had bought Nike pegasus trail but I think they are not for me, Salomon gives me more stability and better comfort for my feet, I highly recommend them.

Great shoe

Bought the boots almost 2 years ago. Recently got wet and noticed they leak water into my shoe; no obvious entry point. Any remedy? Bought a second pair a year ago because The boot has been that good.

Same size as my last pair but too tight

I was disappointed with these. They are about 8mm narrower than my last pair. I tried wearing them for a few hours, but they are too narrow for my foot. I ended up returning them and buying a different brand.

Comfort/performance

Great shoe for backpacking and wearing on the daily, I originally started wearing it to break them in but not only were they instantly comfortable but I enjoyed the look a lot too so I just started wearing them all the time

Great all-rounder

Very happy with this shoe. Great support for daily use as well as longer bushwalks. Comfortable and dry.

Brooke’s Besst

Disappointing! I have used Brooke’s for running for over 20 years and this pair is a significant step backwards. Instead of being robust and functional they are more like a fashion accessory sadly

This will be my second pair of these boots. My first pair lasted about 3 years. I took them across the the West Highland Way in Scotland, through more than a week of back country in Glacier National Park, up and down nearly every peak in the Shenandoah Valley and they held up to nearly everything I could throw at them until they started to come apart at the seams--but not before they likely had well over 1,000 miles on them. They remained water proof for about the first 2.5 years before they started to seep and make my socks wet on stream crossings. My only gripe was on a trip where I put in 20+ miles a day while carrying too much gear. I ended up aggravating an old foot injury because they were too flexible with that much weight. Honestly, I was asking them, and my feet, to do too much so I'd caulk that up to operator error, but a stiffer backpacking boot would have been nice in that instance. On fit, they feel similar to a running shoe, but offer hiking boot support. I have narrow feet and they fit well if not a little snug so if you have wide feet that is something to be aware of. Also, know these boots are not warm. I've suffered through some snowy or wet and cold days. All things considered, if you don't have a pair of these in your closet, you should. They have trail/running shoe comfort with hiking boot ruggedness.
