I love these boots. They were comfortable right away. Good traction and cushion. Very stable for my pronation

Quality Control problems

I tried 2 pairs of these shoes. One pair was hurting me on the left foot. The other pair was hurting on the right foot. After a careful studies of the problems. I found the tongue (where the shoe laces are) were in different sizes and sewed in different positions. I think it only happened in Wide and this model.

Great boot

Love these.. had them for about 2 yrs and about to order another as the tread wore down. They are very light a and were waterproof for a bit..I sprayed them with waterproofing and they are good.. just wrote them out Wish they had a darker color though

Light Weight, Sturdy, Comfortable

This boot has many positives. Lightweight. Supports my foot when walking on uneven terrain. Good fit. True to size for walking foot wear. Shame about the colour being so light. I spray mine with protecter so makes it easier to clean and maintain waterproofing.

Best hiking boot

I love these mid high boots for hiking in the Black Hills. I do not get pine needles on my shoes anymore! They are also great for navigating across the creeks and scaling steep inclines. Great product.

Brilliant wide fitting walking boot

This is my 3rd pair of Salomon wide fit walking boot. Very comfortable and very light. Would definitely recommend. Although a darker colour would be more appropriate.

I've put it through the wringer

Was a bit iffy about the shoes when I first bought them. But they have proven to be a great purchase. I have use these from short hikes to climbing 14ers to backpacking. I've used these shoes for about 4 months but they've been through alot and are holding up well. The shoes are also super comfy and I have not had an issues with blisters or sides of the shoe rubbing up on my feet. I have hiked in muddy/wet conditions and the gortex is holding up well - no wet socks here!

My favorite Salomon's yet!

Just a great all around boot. Traction, support & comfort are all there. My only complaint is that the light color shows dirt easily. Make these in a few dark colors and I will be back for more!

Salomon sent me a new pair as my last pair waterproofing failed after 11 months.The new ones are so far keeping my feet dry and are comfortable to wear. So far 10km walk with no issues.

Amazing Hiking Shoe!

I bought the wide Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid hiking shoe. It has surpassed my expectations. I have foot problems causing me a lot of pain when walking. This hiking shoe has been amazing. I can walk long distances (10,000+ steps) and my feet do not throb or hurt at the end of my walk. The ankle and arch support are great. I recommend this hiking shoe and will definitely buy more in the future!
