Great shoe poor shoelaces

I bought the shoes about 3 weeks ago. Shoelaces broke on day 2 otherwise the shoes were great

Like a gentle hug around the feet

Got my father a black pair, size 8.5 and it fit him perfectly. He described as a gentle hug around the feet, good cushioning and light. While he hasn't had the chance of wearing it on the trails yet, he's been wearing it for hours in the house and almost forgot to take it off when he was going to take a nap on the sofa.

Very Good Shoes

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I now have two (2) pairs in different colours that I alternate to wear to work. Great shoes!

Excellent grip on loose, wet, uneven surfaces.

I needed a shoe for walking the dog. We live in a city coastal environment that is humid and wet most of the year with easy access to trails and forested areas. The shoe I was looking for had to be waterproof and have excellent grip for walking on loose, wet, or uneven surfaces. I also have a wide foot and constant trouble finding extra wide shoes. This shoe fitted my Roman style extra wide foot straight out the box. If your looking for a shoe with similiar needs as mine, then I would recommend giving it some thought and trying it on when you're in search for another shoe. Happy Trails

Nice hiking shoe/Sneaker

Its a good shoe, the lacing system is easy to use and makes taking them on and off fast.

Love the speed laces, quality of shoe and water “proofness”. Have been trying for quite a long time to replace NUMEROUS pairs of the Ultra X 3 Hiking Shoe and thought I had finally done it. Alas, what began as a “little tight” in the toes became an unwearable pair of shoes, especially when going downhill. These shoe are sneakily NARROW in the toes. Too bad, the rest would have worked! Ultra X 4 are NOT the the 3’s either, nor are the several other pairs of Salomon’s I have tried. Time to move on …

Narrow

I always buy Salomon Ultra series, and will continue to do so but not the ultra, as the X Ultra 360 are far too narrow.

Tight fit

I’ve purchased several of Salomon Trail shoes over the years and they are always a little snugger than other brands. These are tighter than most and almost unwearable. Plus, the ‘quick tie” frayed after two outings and is literally hanging by a thread. I’ll continue to purchase Salomon’s, but this particular pair has issues.

Too Narrow

This is the third pair of this general style of Salomon shoe. I have loved the other two, but this pair, which is the same size as the others, is narrower and is uncomfortable. I am going to continue to fight through the discomfort with the hope that they break in, but I am bummed that the size changed.
