Good 3 Season Boot
I have been a fan of Salomon boots, cut tried multiple models and could not fit my wide foot into them without discomfort. Ordered these and the width is perfect in my normal size (11.5). They are comfortable and can be worn with thin to medium thickness socks for all but winter use, have the Quest 4D 3 GTX for that. Have them broken in after a few days of all day use (10k steps a day) and they feel comfortable enough to take on the trail. Good quality and lacing system.

Bought these in size 11, even though I find myself usually wearing 10.5 in street shoes, and the size seems to be what I expected. Slight room in the toe. So, true to size. Wide fit is nice. Provides extra room in the toe box, but still has a very form fitting and supportive achilles/heel area. Good construction of the shoe, material is strong and high quality. What you’d expect from Salomon. Took these is the mud and dust for a day and my socks stayed dry and clean! All around great shoe.

I have wide feet so finding a quality hiking boot is always a challenge. I was skeptical when I ordered theses boots because Salomon generally run narrow even if labeled wide. I wore these boots around my home and in town to see if there was a break in period, the break in period is negligible. Within a few hours of wearing them it was like wearing sneakers on steroids. Very stable side to side. The tread as promised has great control descending and ascending. I have only wore theses boots once hiking and the trail was moderate difficulty. I am hoping to provide additional feedback midsummer early fall 2019.

4.5 stars if not for the lacing system
These boots exceeded my expectations for support which was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting them to be running-shoe mushy and they have been much better than expected in that regard. However there is one major flaw here: The top four lacing points are not grommets but speed lacers. In this case big bull-horn looking speed lacers. I find that the open bull-horn of one boot regularly catches the loops of my laces on my other boot causing a lurch or trip. Yes, this can be worked around by lacing up and then taking the time to tuck the loops under other parts of the laces but I'd rather that not be part of tying up a shoe. With a boot that barely covers the ankle, the need for speed lacing is already a little questionable, and I've certainly owned speed laced boots where this is avoided by design. Its a fairly pernicious element and if I saw a another boot using speed lacers like these I would not purchase them.

Not wide enough
The toe box for these boots are not wide enough. My foot job sits over top of the soles. Nice light weight boots but donât purchase if you have a wide foot.

Happy birthday to me!!
I bought these Salomon “wide”light weight hiking boots for my husband and our 1 week long hiking & climbing birthday adventures in Zion National Park. He climbed Angels Landing with no worries, issues, concerns, or any type of slippage!! This is his 2nd pair of Salomon boots... but his 1st ever light weight mid boot! He definitely recommends these boots for anyone who needs wide shoes!!

I bought these for my brother and this is his review: "These shoes were purchased to be my main hunting shoe, but since it's still early spring and hunting season has yet to start, I haven't had the chance to wear them for that purpose yet. I have worn them for a couple of short hikes and really like the fit thus far. The wide version is perfect for my feet. They are much lighter than I was expecting. The only issue that I have with them thus far is that it seems difficult to get the laces tight enough at the top or around my ankle. This could just be because they are new, and I am still breaking them in. Overall, I would recommend these for anyone looking for a light weight hiker."

Watch the below product video for more info on this best selling shoe! As a Salomon employee, this is my go-to hiking boot for longer, more technical and demanding hikes. I love the extra support the mid provides!

A good all season boot
Have used these in all types of activities and have yet to find one it does bad, hiking in these gives you added confidence as the heels are reverse tread, the lugs on sole are sturdy I have put over 200+ miles on these and soles still look new no lose of tread depth, they breath as gore-tex on your foot usually does, if you sweat a lot you will get wet but a good pair of wool socks will help that issue, I have had these in water snow rain mud sand , pretty much any ground material has seen these boots and they keep going strong, went from a merrell person to a solomon believer

Got these as a gift! This is what they have to say: "These boots are awesome, I have been using them to train for a trip to Everest base camp so they have been getting beat up a lot lately, yet they are holding up great! Very comfortable, short break in period. Gore tex comes in handy and has worked great! Always feel super stable and supported in these! Definitely recommend!"
