- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I love Salomon's bindings, the easy step in heel is great for people lighter skiers that have had issues with traditional style heels of past. With little effort you are snapped in and ready to go. The width of the mounting plate is key for the performance of this ski binding, giving you more leverage over the edge of the ski, allowing you to turn harder and stronger. I'd definitely recommend this binding to intermediate skiers or lightweight expert skiers.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've got Salomon bindings on all my skis, bu the first time I've tried one of their Warden styles. I've got these mounted on a pair of Black Crow Orb's paired with a Dalbello Krypton boot. The neon yellow certainly stands out with the ski. Easy entry with the wider toe hold, solid latch and so fair no early releases. I ski this primarily in bounds with the family and on hard pack. I've got them set at about 8 on the DIN and no premature releases, despite pushing them fairly hard on groomers and bumps. Given the use, I'm not that particular about weight, but haven't necessarily found them heavy.
Pros: Easy entry, solid, good value
Cons: None so far
No problems with these bindings so far. Very quick and easy to adjust.
Wife has them with the saloman lux 92 and work exactly as she needs. Intermediate to advanced skier so not going into too much technical set up of these but good for the job.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Easy in easy out. light and look good. Very dependable release.
Will this binding squeeze around a pair of Atomic Backland 102’s?
