Competent Trail Runners
I've found these to be competent trail running shoes for tackling mud season in the northeast. They offer a good mix of stability and maximum cushion - great for handling typical roots and rocks, with adequate to protection. When wet, they drain rapidly and breathe easily.

Great trail runners for my feet!
The perfect combination of cushion, stiffness, and tread for my trail runs. I mostly use these for longer trail runs (10 - 15 miles) and they work for my feet perfectly. I like them so much I am about to use them for my first 50 miler.

Great & Durable shoe!
Got these as a replacement to the Ultra Pro's (which fell apart way too soon) and they've been a great shoe. Taken a lot of beatings on the trails and are comfortable over long distances. Many km's in and they still look intact and ready for more running.

Solid-ness
When they say max cushion you might think of 45mm stack height, and although that is not the case with this shoe, I have always been pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the foam. Solid option as my first good trail shoe.

Great shoe!
I bought these for my husband - he loves them. He wears them to the gym and sometimes he wears them to work. They are comfortable and supportive and they have a great color selection!

Great shoe for rough weather!
I just completed Rocky Raccoon 50 in some really wet conditions in my Ultra Glides. 2nd in the 70+ age group. My feet were underwater most of the day and roots and rocks were submerged and invisible. Wore the same pair the whole day. No use changing, my feet were fine.

Trail Shoe Love - Still The Best - But Better
I loved the first iteration of the Ultra Glide. The only problem I had with it was that the little pocket for tucking away your laces was most often hidden behind the top laces. This has been fixed in the Ultra Glide 2, making it a shoe that I have a lot of trouble finding any fault in. If there were any one thing that I could hope for in future iterations it would be that they improve the draining system for those of us who like to get our feet unreasonable wet.

Huge durability issues
I bought some Ultraglide 2s for walking rather than running at the end of July 2023. I assumed, since they were designed for long-distance runners, they would provide years of comfort and grip, especially for someone who just wanted them for walking through parks and countryside. They were and remain supremely comfortable. However, in February 2024, half the tread has worn down completely and the shoes now slip and slide just when walking over soft paths. I've never had a pair of shoes that have worn out so quickly and for someone who's not been running long runs every week. I don't think they are of "merchantible quality". To become unwearable in just 8 months of modest walking is really disappointing and reveals that they are terrible value for money.

Comfy, stable, grippy
Does everything it’s supposed to. Not overly plush but plenty comfy especially with the stability it provides. I never think about my feet with this shoe on, it is very secure and just does its job. I’ll be trying the thundercross and seeing which I like more for race days.

Double Duty Dad Shoe
Outstanding daughter chasing shoe. Great traction on grocery store floors, solid cornering in the trickiest sections of the vegetable department and enough cushion for sudden stops on your heel when they change direction or fall over. Noticeably easier to keep up with her over my Xeros. Also great trail runner for east coast singletrack.
