Great comfortable shoe

I?m 47.5 typically 12.5 also I have wide feet. They fit perfectly I put about 10 miles a week on these shoes since I got them. The lug tread grips well and speed lacing makes the my go to over other shoes. Fast on and off. Admittedly I was skeptical of the lacing at first. Lite and breathable. *I do treat all my outer wear and gear with 303 for extra water proofing.

Good shoe for me

Familiarity:

This is a great shoe for my feet. It does fit a little narrow, which works for my narrow feet. Love the grip on both the uphill and downhill. I enjoy the lacing system as well as it is convenient and easy to use. Will for sure by another pair, just might upgrade to the Gore tex version.

Totally wrong size

This is a beautifully made shoe. It's quality materials are well put together in a rather pleasing form. It's grippy as hell ?°it's genuinely difficult to slide in them. The lugs get rid of dirt quickly, and they're comfortable on the road, too. But: I know shoe sizing quite well across many brands because I have wide feet, and I ask a lot of my shoes. I know that I'll need a 12.5 or 13, and if I'm in doubt, I'll go 13 to get that extra width, and deal with a little extra room in the toes ? and some brands the 12 would be too short anyway. Salomon's Supercross' were touted as a wide-fitting shoe everywhere I could find, but I went with the 13 just to be sure. It's just totally wrong. It's snug, _almost_ too tight across the midsole. I can feel it pinch then ache after a couple miles. So, it's not a wide- fit at all. It fits about as well as a normal 12 ? a size smaller. But, it's way, way too long. I've got well over 2cm (maybe 3!) of room between my toes and the end. So, it catches, and I'm forever kicking things and tripping. Now, I've developed bad blisters on my heel, from all this slop, and tightening the (rather cool, actually) laceless system down tighter just reminds me of how narrow it is in the middle. It's really bad, and I don't understand how this isn't the first thing in all the reviews: "Hey, these will only fit your feet if you order a size down; and have very, very narrow feet." The very reason I bought these was because they're said to be wide. Maybe everyone meant wide, when standing sideways? As in , what most people mean by, you know: "long?"
