    Fire away.

Bringing aggressive heel hold and hard-charging response to your feet, the Salomon Men's Synapse Focus Boa Snowboard Boot lets you shred big-mountain lines and serious backcountry terrain with confidence and comfort. Stiff flex delivers the support and response needed to handle on-the-fly adjustments in no-fall zones, while other carefully designed features help you deal with long approaches and extreme hikes. The Boa Focus closure system boasts two Boa dials that allow you to independently adjust the upper and lower zones of the boot to lock in the perfect fit every time. It also makes it easy to fine-tune your adjustments at the summit so you don't have to fiddle with laces in a snowstorm at 10,000 feet.

Designed for splitboarders and backcountry enthusiasts, the boot's Platinum liner sports Custom Fit heat-moldable foam for a foot-conforming fit and a locking internal harness for dialed-in heel hold. Draining extra humidity from your boots on sweat-laden uphill tours, the boot's perforated liner outsole and mesh channels disperse water vapor for less sweat build-up and better temperature regulation. Plus, Salomon removed the liner's glued seams, letting you wash it without any deterioration. Rounding out the boot's impressive features, you'll find a Trek EC+ sole with unrelenting traction lugs for sure-footed confidence when you're trekking icy terrain or hiking along exposed ridgelines. And developed with input from podiatrists, the boot's OrthoLite C3 footbed brings increased circulation for added comfort when you're riding and hiking all day.

    Great for my narrow feet!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have very narrow and low volume feet and have always had trouble filling snowboard boots and getting my desired amount of response from them. But these boots fit like a dream! The Boa allows me to get a nice snug fit every time, the boots grab my narrow heels and make me feel nice and locked in when I'm strapped to my board. The break in period was a little uncomfortable, but since the liners have formed to my feet I can wear them all day, no problem. It only took about 3 or 4 days of riding before they became comfortable. They fit true to size and I bought a size 9. They are very stiff and offer great stability when charging hard on groomers or in powder. And after a full season of riding they still seem pretty stiff and haven't softened too much. I look forward to wearing them again next season!

The right amount of stiffness to flex. I'm surprised how long these boots hold up, I'm reviewing the 2014 and 2017 models.
After years of 100+ day seasons or resort riding and splitboarding, the older boots are still a fun ride, although much softer.
    The durability is top notch!
I sized down half a size and the boots worked on to fit perfectly, I feel like this is key to a boot lasting a long time and not getting clapped out.
The 2017 fits a bit wider in the toe box, but Superfeet foot beds ate up the space.

    Top Notch

These are my go to boots for any riding, but specifically when I am in the backcountry. The breathable liner is absolutely perfect for long days on the uphill but the stiffness of the boot doesn't disappoint when it's time to get what you came for.

I always worry about BOA systems on boots as they can be hard to replace, but I have yet to have an issue after 150+ days in these boots and plan to use them for at least another season as they are still plenty stiff and functional.

Let me know if you have any questions related to snowboarding, splitboarding, or boot sizing, I'd love to chat!
