Designed to meet the specific needs of one of snowboarding's greats, Bode Merrill, the Salomon Men's Hi Fi Snowboard Boot serves up the exact right fit, flex, feel, and level of comfort for everything from hot laps in the park to days spent sessioning a backcountry booter. ZoneLock lacing utilizes, well, zonal lacing to customize your fit one zone at a time, eliminating painful pressure points. Further customizing your fit, the thermo-moldable Custom Fit liner increases comfort and foothold with a foam that contours to the natural shape of your foot.
Built into the wrapping panels, Sensifit ensures a precise fit that holds the foot from the midsole to the laces comfortably, while the molded TPU SpringBack spine delivers a precise and reliable flex. Ride after ride, the Ortholite C3 footbed creates a cooler, drier, healthier, and better-cushioned home for your foot that won't break down over time and is built to maintain its cushy comfort. Salomon installed a watertight neoprene seal around the lower foot for waterproof protection in the deep stuff, and rounded the Hi Fi out with an ultralight HiFive EC+ outsole for exceptional rebound and comfort.

Great mid-flex boot
Comfortable right from the start
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I tried out close to half a dozen different boots and these stood out as the most comfortable right from the start. I know this won't be the case for some people, boot fitment is very much a personal preference. For myself aside from the dimensions it felt like there was just a different set of materials being used that made this boot just so much more comfortable. Some of the boots I tried have the liners that are heat moldable and were very stiff. It's possible I could have spent the effort to get them to be comfortable but its hard to beat boots that feel good right out of the box. The only issue I noticed is my toes could have used a bit more space which is why I opted for the wide version of these boots.
These are the first set of boots I've picked up that don't use regular laces. I feel like with regular laces I can pull as hard as I can without worrying about snapping them. The laces on these boots are so thin I'm not yet sure how hard I can pull on them, so far they seem pretty durable. It's nice to have multiple laces to adjust the tightness on different zones of your feet.
The soles feel grippy although they aren't anywhere near as grippy as the Vibram soles on one of the K2 boots I tried out.
Out of the set of boots I tried these had the best balance of comfort and features. With a heavy emphasis on comfort.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
These boots came really comfortable right out of the box. I like the built in liner tightening system, but I feel that it could offer a little bit more of a hold around the ankle and foot. The locking system is nice and it makes it easy to loosen/tighten the upper part of your liner. They are a little high profile and are on the bulkier side but all in all I'm pretty satisfied with the boots.
Feel like clouds on your feet!
I have tried on a few boots trying to find a well fitting boot. I have an extremely hard time as I have a wide toe box and a high arch. After trying these on they might be one of the best fitting boots i have ever had. I cannot wait to ride this into the ground, where unless things change, ill buy these boots again.
