HiFi Snowboard Boot
Designed to meet the specific needs of snowboarding's greats, the Salomon Men's Hi Fi Snowboard Boot serves up the exact right fit, flex, feel, and level of comfort for everything from hot laps in the park to days spent sessioning a backcountry booter. ZoneLock lacing utilizes, well, zonal lacing to customize your fit one zone at a time, eliminating painful pressure points. Further customizing your fit, the thermo-moldable Custom Fit liner increases comfort and foothold with a foam that contours to the natural shape of your foot.
Built into the wrapping panels, Sensifit ensures a precise fit that holds the foot from the midsole to the laces comfortably, while the molded TPU SpringBack spine delivers a precise and reliable flex. Ride after ride, the Ortholite C3 footbed creates a cooler, drier, healthier, and better-cushioned home for your foot that won't break down over time and is built to maintain its cushy comfort. Salomon installed a watertight neoprene seal around the lower foot for waterproof protection in the deep stuff, and rounded the Hi Fi out with an ultralight HiFive EC+ outsole for exceptional rebound and comfort.

My In Depth Hifi Review
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I just purchased these Salomon Hifi Boots and got to ride them for a few hours already, mostly in the terrain park. I rode them straight out of the box, without heat molding them. The only adjustment I made was by taking out the stock ortholite insoles (which actually feel and look pretty solid) and by putting in a different pair of insoles to better support my high arched feet. The reason I purchased these boots was because the shape of my feet - high arches, mid/wide toe box - means that most boots keep me adjusting all day long to release unwanted pressure points. As such, spending $450 for a pair of boots is a no brainer so that I may actually be able to entertain the idea of not having to keep adjusting my boots all day. The quality of materials in the hifi boot, speed-zone lacing and cozy comfort, without totally sacrificing response, was enough of inspiration to convince me to give them a shot. So far, everything about the boots live up to my needs and expectations, however, I did experience one unforeseen pressure point, right by my heel bone, which rubbed against the Spring-back spine of the boot. There is not enough cushion in the liner for me, to protect my heel bone (which protrudes a little bit from my heel) from hitting that Spring-back Spine. My hope is that thicker socks will solve my only problem. For your information - I was wearing very thin socks when riding them. Other than that, I am still giving them five stars because for many people this might not necessarily be an issue and every other part of the boots totally rise above, fly over and kiss a goodbye to every pair of 32's, Adidas and Burton's that I have ever owned over the last 15 years of riding. For further clarification - I rode these boots with a pair of my 2017 Union Superforce Bindings, which have an updated 2019 Atlas Exoframe heel strap.
