Sense Pro Short - Men's

Bring these back please!

The best shorts for racing and long distance in the summer. Salomon, I don't know if the Aero 4 is meant to be the latest version but they are no longer available. Really hoping the next AW20/21 collection will have something like this as the current Sense 5 does not come close with its tie-band and ill-fitting inner lining. These Sense Pro with elasticated waist, perfect inner and length were simply the BEST.

This is my fifth one and I use them at all times. Comfortable, light and with plenty of pockets for short-medium runs

Close to Perfection!

Like many runners out there, I am a huge critic of running shorts. I hate bells and whistles like full hand pockets, zippers and extra material that gets soggy on long runs. This short has none of the above. It is very well thought out and high tech. Brief liners are very hit or miss and these ones are supportive and comfortable. No chafing or uncomfortable "riding up" after a 10 miler. The front and back large mesh pockets are very versatile, securely holding sunnies, a phone, my Houdini or my shirt. I just found two small bonus pockets on the sides that can hold a couple goos or a car key... Maybe a credit card too. The outer material has a nice stretch and small perforations that allow air flow. The only design modification I would make is to remove the seam from the middle of the brief. I don't know why there is such a large seam in a high chafe area. So far no issues but I am keeping an eye on that thing. For the price you are getting what you pay for. Lots of R&D went into these. Material is high tech and these shorts are ready for the long haul!

The Sense Pro shorts are just about the perfect racing and warm weather trail running shorts, but the sizing does run small. I've previously worn a size small in the Sense shorts & small in the Sense Pro was way too tight while the medium fits great (size chart is not accurate for the Sense Pro, I'm usually a 29" waste). Folks might want to size up. As for the details - the bucket pockets hold gear surprisingly well (even accommodating a soft flask or light shell - though I don't know about the bounce with a full flask) and there are additional small side pockets hidden between the short and the liner. The fabric is fantastic, really breathable and stretchy. The inseam is a bit shorter than the 6" noted in another review, that's more along the lines of the Sense shorts, with the Pros in the 4.5 - 5" range - with a good side split the shorts are super cool and airy. Will definitely be my go-to summer running shorts.

Perfect running short

Every detail of the design of this short for running is perfect in comfort, lightness, and breathability. The soft shell is intermittently sown onto the liner with large pockets in the front and back, and a small key sized pouch is on the hip. You almost can't feel the short on. They are expensive but worth the money to me. I have a 30 waist and weigh 150, mediums fit well but if you are any larger you probably need a large.

Amazing comfort and design

I've been using this short for quite some time and every time I use a different pair/brand I realize again how good and well designed they are. They are light and comfortable, on long runs as well.

Ideal all rounder

Comfortable and lightweight yet with a supportive inner and with great storage for gels/ water etc. Ideal length as an all rounder trail or road, short or long distance.
