Extremely disappointing

Looked amazing … all my excitement was gone when I tried it one. The arm holes are WAY to tight and the fit was horrible. It was like trying to wrestle into a medium is your an extra large. According to your sizing guide I was between a small and a medium so I bought the medium. I had several like sized friends try it on and we ALL agreed it was either a midsized piece or a REALLY poor design. Regardless I sent it back for a full refund.

Great vest but HORRIBLE flasks!

I’ve only ever bought Solomon vests but this was my first women specific vest and I’m not sure I would buy one again. It’s of great quality and the fit is very comfy but I don’t like the way the pockets that hold the flasks are on the side of your breasts. When you have both flasks full and your pockets are stuffed I feel the sides of my arms brushing up against the vest while running which I find very annoying. And my biggest pet peeve is the AWFUL flasks!! They don’t fit snug in the pockets like other Solomon vests and it is near impossible to get the straw off the flasks to trim. It took me more than 45 min to soak them, use pliers to get the straw off, and then soak again just to be able to get the straw back on! Just an awful design! I’m super disappointed in this vest:(

Great Vest!

I bought this vest for my first half marathon and really love it. I would give it five stars however like many others I found the long straws to be a bit bothersome. After trimming them down they are better, however I would be curious to try the other flasks that are in other solomon products.

Enjoy the vest

The vest is comfortable, though warm on those hot days. I find the flasks easier to refill than a bladder that I previous used from another manufacturer. I however, find the straws long. There is no where to fold them down. The movement of the straws close to my face can be annoying.

Worst flask design ever !

I bought my good friend and running partner this vest for Christmas, and now 6+ months and several hundred miles logged later, the consensus is just frustration ! An avid trail/ultra runner for close to 10 years, and most of those years in Salomon packs, her and I are both baffled by the poor design of these flasks. The straws are well meant , but the loops just defeat ease of access. The narrow design of bottle opening and structure of the top of the bottle make it nearly impossible to refill on the go, requiring two of us, one to hold the bottle while the other to pours oftentimes precious fluids into the narrow opening. The flimsy structure makes it impossible to hold the bottle while refilling without fumbling and squeezing precious fluids out before screwing the straw back on. Not to mention the difficulty in feeding the straw back through the loops after refilling. On the trail this can be extremely frustrating, in a race it could mean precious time. Over the years we have followed and admired the Salomon sponsored athletes, and bought Salomon products led to believe we are getting leading edge technology and best products on the market tested and designed with the input of these athletes. Obviously this time around I find it hard to believe these flasks were used but ANY ultra runner and just designed for a sleek look rather than real world functionality. What’s worse is with the design of the pack it is even difficult to use substitute flasks that may actually work in their place. As a loyal Salomon customer, my friend has continued to try warm up to this vest, taking it just for shorter runs, but only with continuing disappointment. If Salomon continues with this design, unfortunately for her next vest she’ll be shopping elsewhere.

I recently purchased this and am pleased with its breathability, it stays in place and is very comfortable with it's women specific fit.

Great fit, but the flasks are frustrating

I was hoping the new women's vests would support an easy in and out flask like those used in the unisex vests that do not have long straws. For this particular vest, trying to refill your water with these straws and small loops to keep them in place is very frustrating. I had a heck of a time during a 50 miler I ran using this vest. Please, please reconsider the flasks for women and eliminate these straws or at least make the vest so we can choose what flask we prefer. Aside from the flasks, the fit is excellent

Love the Women-Specific Fit

I love the way this vest fits; it hugs me just right. The women's-specific fit has the water bottles more to the sides rather than sitting right on top of the chest, which I find more comfortable when squeezing them to get water. The cinch that loosens/tightens the fit is easy to use and more comfortable than buckles. I also like the straw caps that come with the bottles. There are however two downsides. 1: I find it annoying to use with a bladder. Even the Salomon brand bladder doesn't easily attach to the top of the vest, so as your water gets low, the bladder will start to slide down. I attach mine with a carabiner, but a dedicated strap would be nice. 2: The material around the neck is rough and chafes. I either have to make sure my shirt is tucked completely under it or I put tape there for longer runs. I wish the neck had the same edge as the side pockets.
