QST Stella 106 Ski

Like you, the Salomon Women's QST Stella 106 Ski craves powder. Given its moderately wide waist, this QST undoubtedly hovers over the sweet soft stuff with ease, and a rockered tip and tail only enhances its performance down untracked goodness. Expect a playful pivot and a surf-like feel when you turn down the steep and deep.

Unfortunately, all good things must end, and just like the inevitable changing of each season, a massive powder dump is bound to bring hordes of skiers, which indubitably changes the softest terrain into tracked hardpack faster than you can look up the definition for "indubitably." Fortunately for you, the QST 106 Ski still thrives on firmer snow, too, thanks to Salomon's patented C/FX³ technology, which harnesses a unique blend of carbon, basalt, and flax for an impressively damp, stable ride at speed that doesn't compromise the ski's lighter-weight, approachable nature.

  • A versatile all-mountain ski for post-storm adventuring
  • Mid-fat waist craves powder but still handles well on trail
  • Rockered tip and tail deliver improved maneuverability and float
  • Cork dampeners at the tip and tail absorb chattering vibrations
  • Camber underfoot delivers reliable on-trail response
  • Poplar wood core is light, responsive, and playful
  • Titanal inserts add torsional stiffness and power transfer
  • Rubber at edges smooths the ride with improved ski-to-snow contact

This is THE ski!

I've put it through the wringer

I skied on the previous QST design for two years and loved the ski. I wasn't sure what needed to be changed within the design to make it better, but oh boy did Salomon know just what was needed. The new STELLA 106 is the ski I've always wanted. It absolutely rips on groomers, allowing you to start and finish your turns with continued power throughout. It floats magically through powder, and stays stable and effective through hard chop. I mounted mine with the SHIFT binding to make it my 'go-to' for every adventure.

One ski quiver of my dreams

I've put it through the wringer

As an avid backcountry and resort skier I am always looking for a ski that I can rely on no matter what the conditions are or mission is. This all new QST Stella is different than the previous QST designs and I must admit I was a bit concerned with the added weight initially. After putting it to the test on the variable and often tough conditions of New Zealand this winter, I am extremely impressed! Versatile, damp, powerful and more stable than its predecessor, I found the weight to be a non-issue. I am very impressed with how durable these planks are. It allows you to ride with confidence in bounds and out of bounds and has a much more playful feel compared to the older versions. With the SHIFT binding, I honestly think this is the one ski quiver of my dreams.
