    QST 99 Ski

Your quest for the ideal one-ski quiver ends at Salomon's QST 99 Ski, an all-mountain slayer that skis freshies and hardpack with equal prowess. With a 99mm waist, this ski rides morning pow, afternoon chop, and a little icy delight for evening desert. Its All-Terrain Rocker 2.0 profile lives up to that all-terrain status, with a camber underfoot that ensures excellent edge grip on firm snow and a rockered tip that navigates soft stuff with ease.

Salomon's Spaceframe 3.0 AMB construction starts with an inverted 3D wood core that filters vibration and optimized stability when you're speeding down the mountain. The CFX carbon superfiber laminate and Koroyd honeycomb tip also increases dampening, while the power platform underfoot enhances your edging on hardpack. No matter what you're riding, the ski's sandwich construction with 360-degree sidewalls will increase durability and drive powder to the edges for a stable, powerful feel.

    • A versatile all-mountain ski that drives hard in any conditions
    • 99mm waist is wide enough for pow days but still rips corduroy
    • Rockered tip and tail help you float throw fresh snow
    • Camber underfoot initiates full edge contact for stability and power
    • Carbon and wood core filters out vibrations for a smoother ride
    • Power platform enhances edge performance on hard-packed snow
    • Sidewall construction is super durable for long seasons

I bought these skis for my boyfriend as a gift and asked him to write a review. Here's what he had to say:

These skis replaced my older Atomic Alibi’s as my daily driver ski. Man was I impressed right off the bat. I was blown away by how light these ski’s were compared to my old daily drivers. I have been using them for the early conditions here and UT and I have been thoroughly impressed with the wide variety of terrain I am able to ski with these sticks. These skis were great at handling tight turns in the early conditions that we have here in UT. They are not the most “poppy” ski that I have been on, but they are incredible at holding an edge at high speeds and handle very well in those sketchy ice patches that seem to unexpectedly appear. I am 6’1” and about 210 and I found the 188 length to be perfect. Super excited to see have these perform in moderate powder conditions down the line.

Super playful and responsive ski that anyone can handle. Not only can this ski rip groomers and help an intermediate skier push through to the next level, but this ski can also handle deeper snow as it has a giant shovel! I just rode these skis on a super deep day at Alta here in Utah and was very impressed with just how well they performed over the course of the day. From deep snow in the morning in wide open bowls, this ski wanted to go fast, in the trees these could turn on a dime, and they swing well edge to edge on groomers as well. I rode this in combination with the shift binding as well and was blown away by just how light this ski is. All in all this is a great ski for anyone and everyone to rip.

If you are looking for one ski that can do it all the QST 99 might be the one for you.
They have the waist width to handle pow but still let you charge the whole resort after things have been tracked out. Early rise in the tip and tail keep you on top of the snow and blast thru the crud. Pair them up with the STH2 bindings and have at it!
