    Quest for the best runs.

Salomon's speedy QST 85 Ski cruises down fresh groomers before lunch and obliterates your favorite off-piste lines in the afternoon. A skinny waist width of 85mm means this ski has a tight turn radius so you can carve groomers like a champ. The QST's All-Terrain Rocker includes a gradual rockered tip that deflects chop, and the rest of the ski is cambered for solid edge control on firm snow.

The QST also styles Salomon's semi-sandwich Spaceframe 3.0 AMB construction to provide superior ski-to-snow contact on and off piste. Its wood core extends down to the tail in order to reduce vibration when you're at top speeds, and the Power Platform provides maximum power underfoot and increased edge control on hard snow. The Hook Free Taper consists of a five point sidecut for enhanced quickness and agility through trees and skiers sitting where they shouldn't be.

    They rip!

I bought the last pair of the 177 of these skis to replace my old Scott Missions which I had loved but were falling apart. I like a cambered ski that is skinnier under foot being an old bump skier. These are wider than my Scotts were in the tip so they blasted through the chopped up powder at Monarch yesterday while still being quick and maneuverable in the bumps on Mirage. On the groomers they have an edge hold like I've never experienced and they turn almost without effort. I'm an instructor up there and they wanted us to have a 16m radius ski to teach on which I thought might be a little twitchy but these are really stable for me. I'm not a big guy though.

    Not just for the beginner

For a sub-$500 ski.... this guy is fun! Was able to ski it at the end of last season and was very impressed. Definitely on the softer side but was not floppy and put a smile on my face. Transitions from edge to edge were smooth and fluid. Great ski for the introductory skier or someone who doesn't want to spend a bunch of money on a set of sticks.

Don't let the price tag fool you, these are definitely some fun skis.

Give me a call or an email and I'd love to chat about these, or any other, skis. Look forward to hearing from ya
