Comfortable walking shoes

Love these shoes replacing a previous pair that wore well for long walks and everyday use.

Immediately comfortable

Bought these for sometimes soggy trails in my neighbourhood and I’ve been really impressed. They didn’t need any breaking in, were comfortable on my first 6km, and have kept my feet dry! The high back at the heel offers some good protection and the toe box is generous.

Love the shoe

I am really enjoying my new pair of Saloman runners. I would highly recommend. I wanted Gortex as I believe in that product. The toe box is nuce and roomy. The only thing I would correct on the shoe is to have a pull on loop at the heel rather than a tab. Keep up the good work.

Great shoe but it will crack on you.

I love this shoe because it fits me perfectly and takes me confidently over any terrain wet or dry. BUT the uppers will crack and holes will open up where the shoe bends. Salomon is amazing in replacing these shoes but I can see why they are going offline. Manufacturing just isn’t up to standard. Five stars for the design. One star for the manufacturing.

Great all-purpose shoe

Purchased these without Gore-Tex which proved to be a mistake... our weather is much too wet for a shoe that isn't water resistant. Love this shoe for its stability. The wider heel gives lateral support I didn't get in the trail running shoe, the lugs shed mud and debris easily, and the sole has a nice grip without being "sticky."

So far so great!

I have only had these for 2 weeks but have worn them on 3 soggy trail hikes and a few street walks so far and they have been great for both. I usually wear a women's size 8 or 8 1/2 so I ordered a size 8 given reviews. When I took them out of the box I thought they looked big but actually, they fit perfectly. They have been comfortable right off the bat with no breaking-in needed. I am known to be a bit clumsy on the trails but the tread on these are good and they feel sturdy even when it is wet. I am so far very happy with these shoes, I hope they hold up well, and getting them on sale was a bonus.

Just the right amount of gortex.

Just ordered my second pair. Adaptable, light, and with enough protection to keep the water and cactus out.

So comfortable!

I received my shoes for Christmas and love them. The shoes never hurt my feet and feel like a slippers when on. The Outpulse was very good on the icy conditions and kept my feet dry after walking through snowy fields. The shoe fits true to size and I have recommended them to my daughter. Thanks Salomon for making great product.

Older hiker/walker

I had a 2 year old pair of Merrill hiking shoes that were fine that I bought from a local store. A few weeks ago I was using them and realized that they were both slippery on certain damp surfaces and had a narrow (felt unstable) footprint. My husband has loved his Salomon boots so I decided to order some although i am not a big fan of ordering shoes online. I am so glad I did. These shoes with a wider sole and the traction design feel so much safer. We went hiking last weekend in damp conditions and the traction was so much better than with my other shoes when I did the same thing a few weeks ago which is why I shopped for new ones. So happy I took the chance with online ordering. True to size and I put a full size arch support in them. I use them now for damp conditions just walking my dog!

Salomon Out Pulse

Years ago the material was more flexible and a fit like a glove for my feet. I’ve tried buying online several times and the shoe do not fit like an Altra. Different shoe box which I completely understand. These are to narrow after a hoka or Atra shoe which I’ve also worn for years. I guess comes down to sizing for my feet.
