Outpeak 3L Shell Bib Pant

The Salomon Men's Outpeak 3L Shell Bib Pant provides reliable coverage when you're touring faraway in the backcountry. Its Pertex Shield membrane maintains ruggedly high waterproofing and performance-oriented breathability built with touring in mind. A 3-layer construction keeps the pant light, thin, and durable, and Salomon's Motion 360° patterning provides full mobility up and down the mountain. The bib is removable to customize coverage when it's sunny out, and there are ventilation zippers for amplified airflow when it's warmer. Salomon reinforced key areas in Cordura for long-lasting durability against ski edges and crampons.

This review is about 2020 Goretex version of this pant and Salomon warranty solutions. 2020 SLAB Goretex ski bib failed after 1 month of light use - the crutch seam fell apart. Salomon offered voucher either to get a $200 cheaper alternative (QST 3L here) or wait till the fall collection when they MAY have the Goretex version (it's January and middle of ski season now). You be the judge on the warranty solution and make your own inferences on quality QST 3L that is made of Pertex, material less durable than Goretex. I'm Looking at Backcountry bib with lifetime guaranteed
