    Out Night 28L+5L Backpack

You've never been one for overpacking, and that's especially true when you're setting out for a few days on the trail. Designed for fast-moving missions up to two days in length, the Salomon Out Night 28L+5L Backpack delivers comfortable and compact storage for weekend backpacking trips. Thanks to its compact size and comfortable carry system this pack won't slow you down, even when it's stuffed to the brim. The MotionFit suspension system is designed to move with you for an ergonomic fit, while the padded and ventilated straps ensure that no matter how heavy the load you'll have cushioned comfort to help you carry it. Plus, this pack was ergonomically designed for female hikers and athletes, giving you an even more seamless fit when you're out on the trail.

Sitting at 28L, this pack's main compartment has enough storage to fit the layers, gear, and food that the light packer needs for a few days away from home, and features a removable lid that adds an additional 5L of storage, perfect for smaller items and gear. It's accessible from both top and side entries, giving you versatility and quick access that won't require rooting through your entire pack. Hydration compatibility comes by way of a traditional reservoir system, as well as a shoulder strap pocket that keeps a 500ml soft flask close by. • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I hike, bike, ski, camp, or climb around Glacier Park pretty much every weekend, so I’ve been through my fair share of backpacks. I took the Salomon Out Night 28L+5L pack on a day hike through the snow, as well as on a 13 mile bike ride. I’m 5’3 and the S/M size fits me perfectly. The pack itself seems very durable and is what I expected from looking at it online. Overall, I love the pack. I love the 5L top, it’s convenient for quick access, and easy to remove for shorter days. I was surprised with how much could fit in the pack, I would definitely take it on an overnight or weekend trip. The main thing that I don’t love is that it sits right up tight on your back, so on hot days I’ll get pretty sweaty.

    Pros:

-Love the color (I chose Canton/Yucca)

-Extremely spacious, I fit everything I need and more

    -Removable top for shorter days

    -Spot for water bladder

-Lots of pockets to keep organized (I especially love the pockets on the straps- great for chapstick, keys, Kleenex, etc.)

    -Lightweight

    -Straps to pack trekking poles

-Many adjustable straps to ensure a comfortable fit

    Cons:

-Back is padded, but still need to pack it carefully/evenly so things don’t jab you in the back

-Pack sits right up against your back, can get pretty sweaty on a hot day

Overall, I would recommend the Salomon Out Night 28+5L, I look forward to using it more and taking it on overnight trips. It is a great alternative to my large heavy backpacking pack.

Good for all kinds of adventures
