    Decent shell

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'
    • Weight: 185lbs

I am 6’ ~185lbs and bought a medium. I definitely should have looked into getting a large, but honestly the mediums fit fine. Salomon has come a long way from the last pair of pants I bought from them. I usually tour 2-3 times a week and have yet to see any ankle shredding like their pants used to be well known for. They are definitely intended to be a shell, so don’t buy these then complain about them being cold when you should be either layering or out climbing a skin track over heating. My only complaint is that there aren’t a couple more pockets.

    Decent shell

    Fit is average

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 146lbs

Coming off of a 10 year old pair of Arc'teryx Theta SK pants (still in great condition material wise with no rips, but waterproofness was gone for a while), these pants don't have as much unrestricted movement. Still no problem when skiing, but when doing stretches, you can feel it restrict movement in the hip/thighs. The Small fits ok, but is snug around the waist/hips when wearing a heavy base layer. (I suspect Medium would be too roomy for me.) It's more comfortable with a mid weight base layer. Leg length is perfect and plenty of room in the legs for comfort.

Hoping their proprietary waterproof technology is as good and durable as Gore-Tex on my old Arc'teryx pants and that the protective anticut hem material is as robust. It looks less rugged visually and to the touch.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: small
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 115lbs

The pants are great for water skiing. They have absolutely no insulation but they waterproof which is ok also they run small.
