Pleased with performance
I originally bought it for either ease of water access so I could use space in a vest strictly for packing other goods or to carry additional items in it as a front pack without the water bladder. So far I have only used it configured as Salomon intended. I ended up taking this on a 32 mile hike down an old decommissioned logging railroad line turned bike path from the mountains to the farm lands. Carried water, headlamp, phone, very thin rain jacket (Pategonia Houdini) and a sandwich and trail snack bar. I slid a holster of bear spray to the belt. The belt stayed tight and didn't sag, maybe adjusted it twice as load changed or refilled water. Was very impressed. I wish it opened to access a little more of the storage space. I feel like some of the volume was not able to be utilized because of the folding closure system and the way it was sewn. However, if you can fit it in, it won't move around even with something oddly heavy pulling down on one side and a very heavy phone in the pack. Maybe Salomon will make a lumbar pack that is a little bigger in the future? For now, this one worked out great.

Bought for mountain biking
I specifically bought this for mountain biking after not liking some of the bulky, overbuilt hip packs from over brands. The lightweight material and roll-top enclosure make it my favorite go-to for big days when versatility and comfort are my top priority. I didn't have any issue with the hose retention loop thing while riding, but I did attach a small, retractable tether to the hose right below the valve so I could simply let go of the valve when I'm done drinking and have it snap back in place at my side.

Below average
I bought this because I hate handhelds and wanted something more minimal than my vest. I also hate putting bottles away in belts. It succeeds at being minimal and feeling good on my waist. But beyond that the bag isn’t very impressive. The hose management is elementary at best. Whoever thought an elastic band was a good idea has never worn a MTB and waistpack with a magnetic clip. Also, if you just out the bite valve through it flops against your thighs when you run. But if you push it further through the bite valve just flops around on your left side. It’s super annoying. You can’t shorten the hose because then it won’t reach your mouth. Overall it’s really a very disappointing design from a company I know understands the demands of elite runners. I don’t think this pack was tested by many people.

So many options
I got this just a month ago and I'm so glad I did! The 2 seperate storage areas are an amazing feature as well as the thermal insulated tubing for the bladder. I got this for short hikes and hours of paddling lakes and ponds, but also great for many different adventures! It's a loaded with lots of features and benefits to aid in a great day outside no matter what you do!
