I was initially skeptical about the vest and its functionality, especially compared to a traditional hydration pack. However, by the end of my first run, I loved it! The vest is easy to use, lightweight, and has some strategic pockets in the front. The two front bladders held enough water to get me through a hot and humid ten miler, and it therefore would be perfect for cooler long runs and races with aid stations. However, the vest does not come with a bladder for the back, which was not specified in the tech specs. Therefore, I can't speak to the comfort of the vest with the extra weight. During my first run, even though it should have been expected, it felt strange to have all the weight in the front instead of the back. Additionally, when the front bladders were full, they grazed against my arms when running. However, after taking a few drinks, the vest flattened out and stops touching my arms. In short, I love the vest, but it serves a specific purpose. For unsupported long runs and ultras, a traditional hydration pack with a 50 oz bladder would better suffice.
