je viens de recevoir mes Wildfire Edge depuis l'Italie, 10 jours quand même en magasin Barcelone. les chaussures sont super, je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de encore les faire servir en terrain difficile, mais les premières impresions sont bonne. Sur rocher vraiment super et précis, sur chemin mixte ca accroché sens problème, voir en temps de pluie etc..

Great all purpose shoes

I wear these everyday for just every activity, I love the fit and feel. Id rather wear these than flip flops. I definitely recommend these.

Great shoes but runs small

I am an avid road and trail runner that would like to get something that’s versatile with my active lifestyle. I’ve been wearing Salomon’s and Altra for years and I’ve wanted to try something new. Someone I’ve worked with recommended this brand. I’ve done a fair share of research to see which type of shoes from this brand I should first get. Fell in love at first sight with this shoes. However, once I got the shoes everything feels great except the shoe runs small. All of my shoes and boots from low to high ankle support are size 8.5 (compensating for the thick socks as well). Maybe it’s just how the shoe in general are sized? I’d love to try out this brand, and perhaps get one size bigger.

Great approach shoes

Like my other Salewa shoes and boots, these fit very well and are very comfortable. These did need a little break-in and some lace adjustment to get the perfect fit. Grippy sole, and good protection around the toe for scrambling. Very happy with the Wildfire Edge.

As another reviewer, below, indicated; these shoes work especially well for people who are recovering from injury and/or need good lateral stability. After ankle surgery, I got the regular (non GTX) model of the Wildfire Edge; and they really work perfectly. But in blue with neon yellow laces, they are pretty "showy". I am traveling to a family event (Life Celebration) and am going to get one of the last pairs of these in 11.5 to wear as black shoes at that event.

Situational masterpiece

If you live somewhere with a lot of slickrock/boulders or otherwise bare rock to scramble up and walk over, these are the best option out there. The rubber on the soles is similar to climbing shoes, and if you put the laces through the top eyelet, it tightens up like climbing shoes. Amazing

Great shoes!

I have used Salewa for a few years now and love them. I use this shoe for everything that I would normally use a hiking boot and it's amazing. I can even do some technical climbing and class 4 with confidence. Great fit, durability and function.

Great for every day use

I used these while walking in Chicago and did Michigan Mile roughly 10 miles. My feet did not hurt at all, they were tired but I was really impressed with the way they performed. The fit pretty much true to size and they fit great. I will be using these for hiking or any treks, these are an excellent shoe. This is my second pair from Salewa and is one brand on the top of my list when it comes to buy again.
