Ultra train 2 shoes
Can't really say anything about the shoes themselves as they were shipped but not delivered due to Backcountry's choice of carrier. It was not clear that if you want a shipment to be delivered by UPS as it is listed it will be, you have to request UPS GROUND or it might be transferred to USPS for actual delivery. USPS will NOT deliver to all physical addresses in Co.! USPS returned to shipper! When I contacted Backcountry to discuss, that is when I was told about the "option" to select UPS GROUND and that it is not clear on their site! I asked if it could be re-shipped and was told it would be easier to just credit my bankcard. WAIT! I can say that my daughter loves her shoes! Just had to purchase somewhere else.

Is it possible for backcountry to remove the comments/ratings that relate to the shipping frustrations rather than the shoes? Looking for ratings on the product, not backcountry operations.

Love these shoes!
- I've used it several times
These shoes fit my foot just the way I like my running shoes to fit - snug in the heel while not-too-snug in the toes. The lacing system allows me to slip them on and be run-ready in less than 15 seconds and stay tight during my runs, which I love. These shoes are comfortable, supportive and provide just the right amount of grip for running on various terrain, including wet paved paths and dry loose gravel.

Airy and Grippy!
- I've used it several times
I have only put about 15 miles on these, but they still look and feel brand new. I really enjoy how grippy the soles are and the easy lace system. This is the fist time I've used this lace system and was surprised at how well they fit! I have very warm feet on 90 degree days, and I really appreciate that are have an airy, breathable feel to them. My feet were comfy and cool even in heat and sun. I am 7.5 - 8 with a wider foot, and I went with an 8.5 in this shoe. It has a fairly roomy toe box and my heels did not move at all. The back of the shoe does go a bit high on my achilles for my taste, and they did get a bit sore a few miles in. I would recommend these to trail runners with average to slightly wide feet who are looking for a really good grip on rocks and uneven surfaces. I was provided with a free pair of these shoes in exchange for an honest review.
