Perfectly Designed and Amazing Performance
I have purchased at least 15 pairs of Salewa shoes over the years and they are some of the best designed and performing shoes I have ever owned. I spend most of my time hiking and running in the mountains around La Grave in the Alps of France and I love these shoes.

I've had these for about 2 months now and can honestly say they are as comfortable as they are versatile. Day-long hikes, trail runs, all day at the zoo with the family...they held up so well! No tired and/or sore feet here!

Backcountry sent me a pair of these to test, but they asked for my honest opinion, which I give here. I?ve used these for short runs on the beach, a 39-mile backpacking trip in the Sierras, and an 8-mile day hike in Desolation Wilderness on unmaintained trail. They performed well in all these situations. I?m usually a big Hoka fan for their maximum cushion, so I was a little worried that the Salewas would leave my feet feeling tired and sore by the end of the day. But this didn't happen: my feet were well protected from rocks and roots underfoot, and the shoes provided supportive, comfortable cushioning. They also offered good grip on the granite, and more agility than the bigger Hokas. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7, and the 7s fit perfectly. I suspect these will not be my last Salewas?I recommend them for anyone looking for a lightweight, multipurpose trail shoe.

Awesome Hiking/Run Shoe

I was given a pair of these shoes to test out and I was pleasantly surprised on a few levels with these shoes. I have a narrow foot and usually wear 7.5-8 in this type of shoe. The 8 fit perfect and there was no break in required. The first time I wore these was a couple weeks ago when we hiked/climbed the Middle Teton. We were on everything from smooth trails, boulders, and scree and while we had a few sections of scrambling up rocks, these shoes worked perfect on all sorts of terrain. Not too mention they have the perfect amount of cushion and light weight. I was on my feet fourteen hours on this adventure and I wouldn?t have wanted a different shoe. On our way down we ran a few miles and again these went from a hiker to running shoe no problem. I?d recommend them to anyone looking for a hike/run hybrid shoe!
