    Great camp blanket!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Whether you are next to the fire, watching the sunset, or need some extra warmth in your sleeping bag this blanket is the perfect fit! The price is definitely high but if you can take care of it it will last you a long time!

    Snuggle Up

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Warm, cute, durable! What more could you want? I snuggle in this when I am camping or hanging out in my hammock. Has stayed rip free and is easy to wash. I throw mine in a pillow case and use tech wash to keep it happy!

    Oooh Bright colors

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Really like this blanket. The colors are super vibrant, that is probably the best part, besides being really warm, and shedding water, fur, dirt, and basically everything that gets a blanket dirty. The one star deduction is for the fact that the slick finish and dwr that keep it clean, also cause it to shift around a lot if used as a comforter or top layer on a bed or camp setup.

This is a great addition to car camping! I used it this past weekend sleeping in my car and it kept me so warm! It is like an extra sleeping bag. It packs up great into the little bag and is easy to pack in the car. I love the colorful options, the Great Smoky Fade is very pretty.

I wouldn't spend my money on it.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I like this blanket, I do. It's pretty warm, and pretty too. Packs down to about the size of a 48oz Nalgene bottle, so definitely manageable for a backpacking trip or for saving space on a car-camping trip.

HOWEVER, I have concerns about durability. It seems as though this blanket could tear very easily, and definitely keep it away from the campfire and sparking embers.

I'm not going to take a blanket backpacking, that's just kind of a silly waste of space and weight, and it too likely to get thrashed out in the backcountry (I'm admittedly a little hard on my gear). And for car-camping, I'd much much much rather have a far more attractive and comfortable wool blanket. I find most quality wool blankets to be equally as warm, exponentially more durable, and the weight/volume difference is pretty negligible if you're car-camping. And if taken care of properly, they'll last a lifetime!

I was lucky of enough to test this blanket for Backcountry, and while I think it's a novel concept and fairly cool and modern looking, I would much rather spend my money on a timeless quality wool blanket.

    didn't know I needed this...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

...but yeah, I really do. It's the best travel blanket ever! It packs down small to save up space on your roadtrips, but unfolds into a heavenly, puffy blanket that will keep you toasty around the campfire or under the stars. I'm never leaving home without it again!

    Awesome blanket

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I brought this blanket on a climbing trip to use in case it got too chilly and I wanted to cuddle up! Luckily it did and I got to put it to use! I used it as an extra layer in my sleeping bag and it really added to my comfort level while sleeping. This is something I would definitely keep in my car to make sure I have for every situation as well as have at home, it does not necessarily need to be used outside but is awesome because it is super easy to clean! Also a very warm blanket, the synthetic feels just as warm as down in my opinion. Lastly, love the color, had the pyro fade!

    blanket love

Great for camping and having in the car with your 'just in case gear' I picked up a few of these as well as the down option. The synthetic is easy care, warm and perfect for handing out to my kids for their camping adventures with friends. The colors are all beautiful and vibrant in person. Makes a great gift but make sure to get one for yourself.

      For any occasion.

I have had my eyes on these Rumpls for years and finally decided to see what all the fuss was about. I was debating between the down and the synthetic. I plan to keep this in my car most of the time, so I went with synthetic, in case a jug of water spilled on it and I still needed it to keep me warm. Now that I see how much I've used it though, I think I will need to get a down-throw for backpacking. They are awesome.

I have been using this on the couch, as well as taking it outside. It's a lot cozier than a fleece blanket, which I did not expect. It also looks prettier because it does not pill, or collect dog hairs. So, now I need one for my couch too. I think I am going to end up with a lot of these. Hahah!

I liked the rainbow color online, but was nervous about how I would like it in person. I thought that it would be a bit loud. But you can see that it is gorgeous and I want to post a million pictures of it. If you are attracted to that style at all, get it. You will love it. The colors are both exhilarating and calming.

Does it keep you warm, like a blanket should? Yes. Definitely. You will warm up quickly with this. I want down for everything, but I forget how awesome synthetic is these days. This feels just as warm as down.

I have taking this on hikes, but it does not pack down really small. Get the down throw, if you need to save space or want to take it backpacking.

      For any occasion.

      Cozy end to your adventures

To test the Rumpl Blanket, I kept it in the back of my car and used it for the everyday adventure. I was pleasantly surprised just how often this blanket came in handy, and the versatility of such a simple product. From stuffing in your pack for an impromptu hike with your friends, a cold morning in a trailhead after sleeping in your car, and some extra warmth when enjoying a drink after a long bike ride. The blanket makes those moments in the outdoor a little more comfortable.
This reviewer also took the Rumpl blanket on an extended hut trip into the Sawtooth Wilderness of Idaho. This is truly where the Rumpl Blanket shined. This blanket is really perfect for travel. Used by everyone in my car during the 14 hour road trip, and then packed away for the 5 mile skin into the Bench Hut within the Sawtooth Wilderness.
The applications during a hut trip are endless. That little bit of extra warmth in a cold winter environment. After a long day of skinning and skiing, the rumpl blanket was a comfortable addition to a tired skier sitting around the hut table eating their dinner. Paired with down booties, a warm hat, and base layers, the blanket was warm enough to use to sleep in a cozy hut at night. And the blanket came in handy keeping your back warm as you crowd around a campfire with 12 of your best ski friends.
After packing 12 stinky skiers into a small hut for 6 nights, the accompanying dog chose the rumpl blanket as his bed of choice over 12 other down sleeping bags. If that doesn’t speak to the blankets comfort, then I don’t know what does.

What were they thinking? They must've known I needed a blanket throw for everything I do--this is perfectly sized to take along on my road trips, star-gazing, tenting it, frosty morn wakeboard sesh, sandy beach or just a ball of rumpled fluff on my couch (there's a color to compliment any front room crash pad decor or any surprise couch crasher). Best of all, when the red dirt, cookie crumbs, pet hair, mud or sand-n-seaweed overwhelm you, this is one blanket you can really just shake it off and get ready for the next round (yep no pet hairs interwoven in the fibers for the next 10 yrs). Love it. Will be picking up the super packable down blanket for Red Eye trips. THANKS GUYS!

        Love My Rumpl

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this blanket, it's light, packable and durable. These features make it perfect to take anywhere and do anything. It has been with me on car camping weekends, backpacking trips,
and international flights, but I actually use it most on my couch.

        Love My Rumpl

Wow!!! This photo is incredible! And obviously, the Rumpl's are as well. I have one myself and it's definitely become a staple piece in my life, both indoors and out.

Thank you for the exceptional photo!!

        Rumpl = awesome

These down blankets are wonderful and warm. We have several floating around my house. I really love the double size as I'm a bit bigger (6'4) and its plenty big enough for me. The single sizes are also very good as well.
