Keep your pup warm when you head out to play in the snow together with the Ruffwear Quinzee Insulated Dog Jacket. Whether you're camping, ski touring, or just going for a walk, the lightweight synthetic insulation will help your dog stay cozy, and the water-resistant fabric repels snow and light rain so the jacket doesn't get soggy. The vest style makes it easy to put on and take off, and it allows your dog to still run and play freely. An integrated stuff sack makes it easy to stow away on camping trips, and reflective trim helps Fido stay visible on nighttime walks. The self-locking neck zipper provides a custom fit for different dog shapes so it will fit comfortably whether your pup is a heeler or a hound.

Keeps my Dogs Warm!
I love this insulated jacket. I bought one for my miniature dachshund. We spend the summers in Alaska, and Winters in Utah so we are usually in colder temps. This is great for hiking and backpacking trips. I also slip it on him anytime he is cold. He loves running in the snow with this on. I also bought two more for my Parent's dachshunds as well!
Since all dogs are different shapes and sizes, I recommend measuring your dog and referring to the size chart for the best size.
Another thing to note, this is great for my boy dog. The cut underneath is great so when he pees nothing gets on the jacket
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Gave this as a gift to a friend who always brings her dog camping with us. The dog just had a haircut and the nights were still chilly. Pup was happy as can be and looked great too!

I actually first looked at purchasing the Powder Hound jacket from Ruffwear for a small dog (~25 lbs). I ended up going with this one, and am not disappointed at all. This jacket has nice insulation across the back and chest to keep your furry friend nice and toasty. This jacket also has nice openings around the front legs for maximum doggy mobility. This one is a winner!
Awesome winter jacket
My 55 lb border collie mix fits well in the size medium. It stays on well (so much better than other jackets!) due to the side clasps around the torso and the neck zip. The neck zip doesn't completely zip open/apart, which is key for staying on. Also, it covers her whole back, neck to tail. She has been visibly warmer and more comfortable, and doesn't try to take it off or scratch at it. It seems pretty water resistant in snow. She even sleeps in it when camping in cold temps. Super cute!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
XXSmall fit my Yorkie well (she is 12-13 inches neck to base of tail, with a 14.5 inch girth.) Keeps her warmer used on top of her fleece or cloud chaser (depending on how wet it is outside.) Easy to put on, once you get used to the clips. Typical Ruffwear high quality.
Wish Ruffwear made something like the cloud chaser (totally waterproof--powder hound is not) but with insulation over the entire body (for cold-natured dogs in a wet Virginia climate like mine....)
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Returning XXS Quiznee. Body length okay. Stats on neck was 11.2". Zach's neck is 10.5 loose. Maybe we received a defective coat. My concerns were the following: 1. Tight around neck. If kept unzipped, it fit. 2. Zipper at neck (besides being tight) only had nylon material coverage; no padding. For a small dog the zipper was large/bulky, and made of metal. 3. Side buckles are too large/thick to be on this size coat. If Zach were to lay on his side, it would be very, very uncomfortable. There is no padding on underside of buckle area; just sheet of nylon. If your little one has a lot of hair, then it may work. As for warmth, it only covers the back, and some coverage on sides. Body is easy on/off; connect/release buckles. May require unzipping before can get head through comfortably.
Best winter dog coat. Ever.

Bought it on backcountry.com after trying 3 other brands over the past few winters. Outstanding quality and design combine to make this dog coat the one that you will truly be glad that you bought. Way, way worth the extra cost above the crowd of "meh" competitors. The combined chest and underside slips over the head and then the underside snap-clips in seconds to a concealed matching clip on each side. Our vizslas love the heaver insulation for the Chicago winter. Quality stitching lets us know that this one will last for years! Stop looking; this is the one to buy.
