Wilder 2L Gore-Tex Hooded Jacket

With all the tools to tackle winter storms, the Roxy Women's Wilder 2L Gore-Tex Jacket provides waterproof, breathable protection that handles the harshest days on the slopes. Two-layer Gore-Tex wards off the heaviest snow during the most brutal storms, yet is highly breathable for comfort when you're riding hard on sunny spring days. Low-profile 3M Thinsulate insulation adds warmth without creating a bulky look or feel. If things get a little too toasty, zippered underarm vents let you quickly blow off steam. And to offer even more coverage, the three-way adjustable and removable hood fits over your helmet or beanie, and a removable powder skirt works as a barrier against wet snow if you happen to tomahawk.

Great tech jacket with a few flaws

I've used it several times

I've been searching for a new jacket for awhile that meets my finicky standards, and this one is great! I've ridden in it probably 10x now and love it with a few noteworthy exceptions. First off, the size chart is pretty off. Based on the size chart I'd be smack in the middle of size large, but I could barely even get the large zipped up. The XL is a good fit, albeit pretty fitted, but I can fit baselayers under it. The insulation isn't bulky at all, but it is NICE and warm. It was 28 degrees out the other day riding and all I had on underneath was one thermal shirt and I was toasty. The blue color is really rich and pretty, and I love the yellow/lime accents and lining. Good amount of pockets, I love pockets! We don't have RFID tickets, but the sleeve is the perfect dedicated chapstick and hair tie pocket! I have monkey arms and the sleeves are nice and long on me, and the high collar and length are great. I love where the vent zips are, they cool you off quicker than pit zips. The things I have complaints about: I can't fit the hood over my helmet! It's a normal size fairly low profile helmet but I can't get the hood over it. The zipper pulls are very small and hard to grab with gloves or mittens on. Also, the hand pockets are about an inch too narrow for me to fit my hand in without taking my gloves off, and even then it's a pretty tight squeeze. They're not outrageously small, but kind of annoyingly so. None of that stuff is dealbreaker-y, but there's definitely room for improvement!

Thank you, Bex! Stoked to see your reviews on here again :)

Super Jacket

Just got back from Utah Ski Trip. The Jacket was fabulous. Windy Snowy days and I used the hood over my helmet did not feel the wind at all.. The high collar and neck gaiter were more than I anticipated and loved them. Jacket was warm for such a light weight. The fit was good. Only complaint was Zipper was one way. Pit Zips were just right and really cooled when needed A+ JACKET.

My search for the perfect ski jacket has ended! Tried 6 other brands. They were all too boxy or bulky. No shape. This jacket is fabulous. It's long and slim. Wore it out today hiking in the Adirondacks. 12 degrees and sunny. Kept me very warm with two light layers underneath. The length is great for my 6' leanish frame - just to the bottom of my butt! ordered an XL based on sizing chart and it fits very well . The red color is fabulous! Can't wait to try it out skiing. Plenty of pockets too.

Rockin' a bomber coat in style

After more than 7 years with my 686 coat, it was time to get a new one. During those 7 years I've rocked Roxy snowboarding pants, and since they're still going strong, I figured I'd look into a Roxy coat. The color and sleek profile initially appealed to me. Knowing Roxy runs a tad small, especially in the shoulders (and knowing I'd want room to layer underneath) I ordered an XL even though I'm more of a Large. Fit is perfect. Just enough room for layers on the coldest days, but doesn't look baggy or bulky when it's just a coat. The length is nice, too. Hits about upper thigh. The real testament to this jacket's bomber-ness though was the first day I used it on the mountain, a warmer day that dumped 30+ inches of wet, heavy snow. I sweated like crazy working in the powder but the coat never wetted out. I would definitely recommend this jacket. Great features: inside zippered pocket for your phone, zippered chest pocket for trail maps, chap stick or whatever, and the zippered wrist pocket gives easy access to your ID and credit card when it's time for a mid-lap beer. Powder skirt stays in place and a little ring off the right hip keeps your pass or lift ticket out of the way.
