When you strap on the Rossignol Women's Star 7 Ski, it's as if the entire spectrum of skiing (backcountry, freestyle, freeride) just opened up. This fatty has a 116-millimeter waist, plenty of girth for powering through the very deep or the very steep, or for landing big drops. For a ski this wide, it moves very nimbly thanks to the Air Tip, which reduces swing weight, and an ultralight Paulownia wood core. When you're using less energy to turn your skis, it leaves you with more left over to do what you love: more skiing. The Powder Turn rocker profile, with its longer progressive tip and tail rocker and low camber underfoot, motors over mashed potatoes and death crust yet carves a turn with super power.
Rossignol's 7-Series freeride line, this year's evolution of its popular S-Series, offers an innovative new fusion of backcountry and all-mountain performance. The Star 7 is the fattest ski on the women's side with the biggest turning radius, making it the weapon of choice for women who eat up big-mountain terrain and challenging backcountry conditions.
