Experience 76 CI Ski
Why We Like It
We click into the Experience 76 when a high pressure system rolls into town and we need forgiving control on groomers and firm off-piste snow. The 76mm waist provides quick edge to edge control for firmer snow, while the modern profile and construction ensure confidence while hitting top speeds or navigating rough patches.
Blends power and forgiveness for confident carving
Camber between the front shovel and the tail compresses when engaged in the arc of the turn to eliminate power loss to the edges, ensuring you won't slip out or lose edge control. Meanwhile the early rise in the tip helps you navigate variable conditions and prevents hooking your edge when initiating a turn or transitioning between turns.
Nimble control and maneuverability
Short turn radius helps you engage the full length of the edge with minimal effort. This enables tight and powerful carving turns at slower speeds or quick maneuvering in tight trees and moguls.
Responsive, lightweight platform
Full wood core uses horizontally laminated poplar strips to take advantage of poplar’s naturally high tensile strength-to-weight ratio, which helps the ski return to its natural shape quickly. This effectively guides you from the end of one turn to the start of the next, all while keeping the overall weight of the ski on the lighter side to limit fatigue on your legs.
Excessive glide and limited maintenance
Sintered base features large pores for long term wax retention, which leads to superior glide across cat tracks and long flat spots.
Smooths out choppy conditions
Damping materials in the tip, which Rossignol calls Air Tip VAS, work to limit chatter on firm and variable terrain at high speeds. Minimizing this vibration enhances control and confidence throughout turn transitions.
Torsional rigidity and a consistent flex
The Biax carbon fiber construction orients fibers at 45-degrees, driving power to the edges and ensuring the ski never feels like it is rolling over on you when you’re fully pressuring the edge. Compared to fiberglass, carbon provides the same strength and response with a lower weight.
All-mountain skis thrive at resorts all over the world due to their control, power, and versatility. Their narrower waists, when compared to powder and freestyle skis, allow you to transition quickly from edge to edge to provide control and carving power, while traditional camber—at least underfoot—ensures you can grip the less-than-ideal conditions often experienced when riding lift-accessed terrain. All-mountain skis can deviate from this basic idea in a few directions, catering to specific skier types from beginner to expert and addressing conditions from icy to powdery.

- Q & A
I really enjoy these skis! I am not a super experienced skier so they are perfect for me. They are a great weight, and handle extremely well. I am 5'3 and they are the perfect length as well!
