    Control freak.

You prefer your bindings mounted closer to the front of Nordic skis when it comes to steep, long, off-trail routes, but everybody knows you get better glide back home if your bindings are closer to the back. Rossignol's Control Step In Classic Binding gives you both options by adjusting up and down the ski without the use of any tools. With a flip of a switch, you can slide the binding up for more grip or down for better glide. Rossignol paired this innovative binding with an automatic step-in system for easy entry.

    Two Thumbs Up!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm really new to cross country skiing so I don't have much to report here. I purchased these binding, got them mounted, and they're working perfectly! They were really affordable too!

    Tender Bindings

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My wife and I just bought some new Rossignol cross country skis, boots, and bindings. We really like the boots and skis, but these new binding were not screwed and glued - they were just glued.
The binding popped right off the ski. It pulled the top layer of the ski off. She had to walk a half hour back through the snow. For the conditions we often have in Maine, you need a dependable binding. This can't happen. If we had been in Rangeley or Lac Megantic , Quebec, at minus 25 w/ windchill, and that delicate plastic toy like binding popped off, you could lose your toes to frostbite or worse. I'm sure Rossignol will improve it, since they are a high quality company. I've used Rossignol ski gear for 4 decades.
