- Q & A
Better then I thought!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I am getting into backcountry skiing and wanted a boot that I could still shred the resort with and use as a tool to get myself into the backcountry. These boots ended up being exactly that. I would say they are 60% resort boots with 40% touring ability. They charge super hard on the downhill and are very responsive with 120 flex. The power strap is perfect and the buckles are super easy to fine-tune tightness with a twist. They are also heated moldable liners and the shell can be punched out (which I have had done), after I broke them in they are some of the most comfortable ski boots that I have owned. When I first bought them I had a little bit of buyers remorse as I thought I should have gone with some of the more popular inbound/outbound boots but I don't regret buying these boots at all as they have worked perfectly for me. The walk mode is very easy to engage and gives you quite a bit of flex on the skin up.
Overall 5 stars.
So far so good
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have only had the chance to use these boots two or three times at the resort but my initial impressions are great. The boot is very lightweight and fairly comfortable out of the box. I was able to ski a full 6-8 hours the first few days in the boots with little discomfort. The walk mode seems to work as intended but I have not had the chance to use these boots for touring so I can not speak to that aspect.
Paired with the Look Pivot 14 and Soul 7 these a great for resort riding!
