Poppy perfection from parks to peaks.

The board of choice for Thomas Delfino when he's sending intimidating kickers and slashing steeps in the French Alps, the Rome Mod Rocker Snowboard is equally adept at high-stakes park laps and big-mountain lines thanks to its balanced twin geometry, pop-boosting additives, and intuitive feel underfoot. This mid-flexing freestyle deck excels at ripping anything you can throw its way, courtesy of its versatile FreePop Rocker profile.

FreePop Rocker offers the predictable handling of flat camber underfoot, giving you the confidence to bomb steeps and send jumps without unnerving squirreliness. Adding playfulness to the Mod Rocker, rocker starting just past the inserts toward the tips creates a looser, catch-free feel for taking your tricks to the entire mountain. Another benefit, these rocker zones improve float on powder days by lifting the tips out of the snow.

Shaving serious weight, the AirPop Core Matrix and Superlight Biax fiberglass allow you to crank spins and clear gaps without excess heft. Carbon Double Barrel TurboRods allow you to load up monster ollies. These pop-enhancing rods are placed inside sleeves milled directly into the board, allowing them to flex independently for dynamic response and heightened energy transfer. Another unique additive to the Mod Rocker, Zylon is lighter, snappier, and stronger than carbon for a hearty dose of pop.

    Most Underrated All Mountain Twin

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've never understood why this board doesn't get more hype. Starting with what it is and what it isn't.

What it isn't. It's not a board that is super damp, and eats all terrain and spits it out. It's not loaded down with resin to absorb every bit of chatter like a Never Summer or Lib Tech.

What it is. Lively. This board springs edge to edge like camber. I was floored it was a flat to rocker deck even though I knew that's what I bought. You can lay a trench, or do quick tight radius turns. The board is pretty damn forgiving. Flat between your feet does that. There is a decent amount of chatter absorption from this board, but you don't have to worry about it feeling somewhat dead. This thing pops. Those turbo rods must work, because you can skate pop this thing to the moon. It's one of those boards that has you wanting to jump slow signs. 3's and 5's were a breeze with this board.

Tips are fairly playful for buttering around. You can cruise on this board, or charge. This really is a true all mountain quiver killer.

If you are a flat to rocker guy, I have only been close to as happy with a board as some Capita sticks. Great great snowboard.
