Gang Plank Snowboard
Whether you can't afford a quiver or just don't want one, the Rome Gang Plank was developed for park-to-peak versatility that seamlessly transitions from fresh turns in the trees to laying clean presses in the park. This twin-shaped deck provides spring-loaded snap for sending the jump line while retaining enough flex for learning tricks without consequence. With a Contact Rocker profile, the Gang Plank is flat throughout the board's mid-section for predictability and stable straight-line tracking, while the board transitions to rocker towards the tip and tail for a more forgiving feel without hanging up on landings and turns.
Enhancing snap, the HotRods Bamboo Single Barrel is a single rod of bamboo milled directly into the core for explosive pop and increased energy transmission. Since it's placed vertically, the bamboo rod doesn't sacrifice torsional flex, allowing the board to snap enthusiastically without being overly stiff when you're playing around the park. Another cool feature, the Rebound sidewalls are more elastic than traditional ABS, absorbing chatter while preventing premature blow-outs in the case of nasty impacts with rails and freestyle features. Rome also places Basalt Impact Plates directly under the binding zones for greater strength when you're stomping heavy landings.

Great Transition Board
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I got to ride this board for a few laps this season and immediately noticed how it handled a lot of different terrain fairly easily. We took a few tree laps, park laps and even ripped some high speed groomers and i was quite comfortable on all aspects. If you are an intermediate rider looking for something to take you to the next level but also want one board that you can ride anywhere then this board is for you! Handled great in the park, held a nice edge through the trees and felt stable at high speeds! Really fun board!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Took this board out for a weekend at Brighton and had a blast on it! I'd start off by saying that its more of a soft than a medium flex. The board is super fun for side hits and messing around in the park or in the woods. The Contact Rocker offers great pop and a left of flex in the nose and tail for landing. This is a ideal spring condition board for laps in the park or a mid season side-hit board.
Definitely a fun little piece!
Do everything board
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I used to ride more hybrid rockers in the past couple of years, and was skeptical with the flat to rocker shape of the gangplank. After getting on this board, I can't believe how easy it was to ride, yet how stable and responsive it was as well. Even though it has a medium flex, it is still snappy and has pop. The bamboo rods really help with the snap and distribution of energy when springing. The torsional flex makes it extremely fun allowing smooth & effortless toe to heel movement in hardback or powder. I think the rods help with the torsional flex as well. I enjoy the board all over the mountain, from groomers, park, side country and powder. The twin shape is nice for more freestyle riding, symmetrical balance and feel. Even though it may not be super stiff with rapid response (which is NOT its intent), it still provides great stability and control even with tight, quick turns and allows you to flow a little more smoother in your turns. I ride this with pretty stiff boots and that's where I get the extra stiff responsiveness I prefer. This board will always be part of my arsenal.

A FREESTYLE ATTITUDE FOR YOUR EVERYDAY ALL-MOUNTAIN HABIT
Len Jorgensen’s unique approach to riding is a perfect example of the Gang Plank—creativity and fun dominate his approach regardless of where his board takes him. Flat between the feet and rockered in the nose and tail, the Gang Plank has a loose, have-fun attitude towards every spot on the mountain. To balance this freestyle-heavy feel, we inlay bamboo HotRods into the core to give it more pop for carves and ollies. For riders who want a very playful approach to riding the mountain from peak to park, the Gang Plank is choice for the daily driver within the quiver.
