Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Rome makes decent bindings, but dont buy for their lifetime warranty. They have changed it to no longer cover straps and buckles. Its hard to trust a company that covers these things for years through lifetime warranty, and then stops. If you like the tech, buy them. If your bindings get a lot of use expect to be paying $10 for each buckle and strap you replace multiple times per season.

    Snowboarder Mag Rome Crux Review

The essence of the Crux is in its minimalist approach to providing a responsive ride, which means that Rome’s heritage of performance bindings can be copped at a wallet-friendly price. But don’t let the clean lines of the Crux fool you, this bad Larry is constructed with plenty of tech to elevate the on hill experience. Rome’s industry-first AsymWrap technology offers an underwrap connection from heel hoop to baseplate that enhances boardfeel with a surfy, freestyle-oriented flex, meaning that each and every carve is just the right amount of punchy and playful. The combination of lateral stiffness and medial flex in the AsymCrux Highback lets you rail turns with support, yet still tweak grabs with ease. Furthering the performance of the Crux are the Minimist toe and ankle straps, a favorite feature of our tester, Eddie Wall. The sleek, one-piece design of the toe strap wraps snugly around the boot, while the Minimist ankle strap features maximum coring for an incredibly lightweight yet responsive connection that is comfortable without pressure points. “The toe strap is very malleable and fit my boots perfectly,” said Eddie. “I felt securely locked in.” Rome designed the Crux as an all-mountain performer with a freestyle ethos, which means that when it comes down to it, the Rome Crux is a binding that will not only get you from point A to point B, but will ensure you’re enjoying every second of pointing it downhill.

    Your new favorite bindings

The Crux is designed for riders who want the board feel and freestyle flex of AsymWrap Tech, at a price point we can all get behind. With the design-centric styling of our Minimist Ankle Strap and Minimist Toe Strap, the Crux bindings are pure function. KISS; Keep it simple, send-it.
