The next step.
You've just bought the mid-sized pickup of your dreams. Once you stop staring at it, wrap your mind around the fact that you can finally transport your toys to the trailhead without creating a complex puzzle in the back of your overstuffed sedan. Rather than toss your bump-devouring full suspension baby in the bed all alone, secure it with the RockyMounts DriveShaft Track Locking Thru-Axle Mount. Accommodating all standard thru-axle sizes including Boost, the DriveShaft Track aims to save space, mounting vertically into your truck's pre-existing track system and securing your bike laterally or vertically across the bed. RockyMounts includes a lock core and keys, and it designed the DriveShaft Track to secure to your thru-axle via an adjustable T-Bolt, ensuring the system cannot be unscrewed in transit.

Bought for a F150 rack
- I've used it several times
Bought this as part of a rack for the back of a truck bed. It does the job well.

- I've put it through the wringer
5th and 6th (I bought two) Rockymounts racks I've owned so far and they've all been flawless. With these, the 12mm adapter is a bit hard to fit to the rack but once it's there, it's very much there. THe've been solid so far at (unsafe speed) mph for prolong times on road trips.

Great Product, Great Quality
- I've put it through the wringer
This mount has worked flawlessly. Comes with adapter for 12, 15 and 20mm TA. Also 9mm QR adapter is available. The lock on the mount would prevent anyone from quickly grabbing the bike, and short of removing the whole mount keeps the bike secure. In my opinion this mount is steps above its competitors in this style mount.

Not as secure as led to believe.
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The bed mount rack is a stout (heavy) system and the track fits nicely into the bed tracks on my 2006 Tacoma. The included inserts allow you to use 15mm and 12mm thru axles as we well as a standard QR. RockyMounts indicates that if you use the QR your bike will not be secure even if you lock the rack. I might make the same argument for the thru axles. The mount clamps down on your thru axle and locks with the provided key. But when locked, unless you really clamp down tightly on the axle (and I would argue even if you do, especially if you put a light coat of grease on your axle like I do), a determined thief could easily unscrew the axle and walk away with your prized steed. I suppose the lock is like any other; locks only work on the honest and the incompetent. If there is another way that it is supposed to be more secure it is not readily evident. I might try running a cable through there somehow, but then that adds to what should be a simple one-key (pun intended) solution. Other than that, it's a convenient way to haul your bike if this style of transport is your thing.

I agree that no lock is absolutely secure but no one should leave a bike out overnight or for a long time anyway. I love this lock system, it's easy to use, simple design, takes no room to install, is reliable and a great truck system vs other much more expensive alternatives...would not use ANY other system for my Tacoma!

Will this fit the rail on a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport short bed?
