    Top dog.

It's no secret that the RockShox Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper Seatpost is the most popular dropper post on the market, being omnipresent in the mountain bike community due to its silky-smooth actuation and revised internals for reliable operation. This particular version, the Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper Seatpost w/1x Remote, comes with an ergonomic 1x remote for light and precise actuation with the flick of your thumb. It mimics the shape of SRAM shift levers, residing next to your front brake lever for riders with a 1x drivetrain. MatchMaker X cleans up your cockpit by attaching it to the same clamp as your SRAM brake lever while Bleeding Edge fitting makes periodic maintenance a breeze.

The rest of the Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper remains the same—a good thing if you're seeking a wider range of travel options, especially for taller riders seeking a greater drop on aggressive downhill sections. Gleaming new internals (over the previous version) sport an SKF internal piston design, while rearranged, overlapped bushings keep out grit. These re-positioned internals mean that slacker seatposts won't create travel interruptions, so you'll experience a silky-smooth glide, rather than a jump every time you engage the remote. Stealth routing is unchanged from the previous model, giving you the option to route the cable through compatible frames for a cleaner overall aesthetic.

    • 1x upgrade to an iconic dropper seatpost
    • Ergonomic 1x remote for sensitive actuation
    • Hydraulic actuation for silky-smooth adjustment
    • Greater size range gives taller riders more drop
    • Refreshed internals are reliable and hassle-free
    • Stealth routing provides cleaner aesthetic

    This one goes to 170

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

170mm travel in a reliable package. Fox Transfer only goes to 150mm. The lever is very nice ergonomically, and the bleeding process is super easy with included bleed kit.

    Junk

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought a new Bronson with a Reverb 1.5 years ago. The bike is great, the Reverb has been a headache. On its third breakdown a reliable shop told me I had to send it in. Now I am without a bike two weeks, and counting. For me to buy different post is expensive because I will also have to change the break lever. A product that requires this much attention is unacceptable, because there is too much competion from other manufacturers.

    ALL THE DROP

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

31.6 x 170mm fits wonderfully in hightower. Only problem with this dropper is you need to be careful when you're picking the bike up by the seat. If you lift it by the seat and the dropper is down, you'll create an air bubble over time. Air bubbles = squishy dropper. Always pick up bike while dropper is fully extended. Otherwise a great post.

No idea how I did without a dropper!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Adding a dropper is game-changing. The quick change and flexibility in center-of-gravity makes a huge difference to how I ride. I was hesitant to add another cable, but with the stealth dropper, I was able to route everything internally and keep the lines clean and maintenance free.
I've found this to pop quickly (even has a nice audible click at full extension in case it's cold/wet/dusty and slower to rise. The quick-disconnect made it really easy to swap in when I changed to a lower travel too. Advice: Get the right wrenches as the aluminum on the quick-disconnect is pretty soft.

    Awesome upgrade

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

All droppers have their issues. The reverb has had its fair share but the new B1 version seems to have them ironed out. The 1x lever is GREAT! I really didn't love the old plunger/button style lever they had. This is much more comfortable and natural to use.

    YAY BIKES

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Dropper post that changed the game, whether you're pedaling or riding bike-park. You'll want to have this on every mountain bike you own. Currently riding it on my Yeti sb6 for enduro racing.

    1x

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After years of success with the traditional button actuator RockShox as stepped up there game offering a 1x remote, perfect for today's modern mountain bikes.

A dropper post is a key component when mountain biking, allowing for quick transitions between climbing and descending. The hydraulic Reverb dropper post with internal routing, provides a clean look and works like a charm.

    Unanswered Question
