The 150mm fork is the do-anything workhorse that every rider has in their stable—indeed, it’s often the only horse in the stable if you can’t justify owning a whole collection of thoroughbreds. That’s why the RockShox Pike RCT3 Solo Air 150 Boost Fork is one of the most popular forks around. It’s sendy enough for enduro riding, efficient enough for XC, and burly enough to handle it all. If you can only have one fork (or one bike), it’s a damn good choice.
Updated with a fat Boost axle design and burly Maxle Ultimate axle, the new Pike 150 is stiffer than past iterations, so you can plow through rock gardens at speed with less thought for deflection or squirreliness. It hasn’t lost any of its trademark liveliness, though, so you can also still pop off rollers and rail corners faster than you have any right to. A flick of the bar-mounted remote switches the Pike between three damper modes to help you clean climbs and hammer flat sections, and the adjustable rebound and low-speed compression settings allow near-limitless tuning, so the Pike will ride to your exact specs.
