Great quality, sizing is way off
The denim is heavy and feels like it would break in nicely. However, like most Roark pants/shorts, the sizing is way off and pretty inconsistent vs. other models. I'm not sure if it's because they swap between vanity sizes and real sizes, or if some of their designers can't imagine a guy having a butt, but I swear to god I have like 4 different wait sizes for this brand. FWIW I wear 32 levis 511 and 512, AG 32, Joes 32, and even the black Roark HWY 133 jeans in 32, but the size 32 of these jeans were so tight I couldn't pull them all the way up, and that before they shrink "1 -2 sizes if washed" according to Roark. Overall, a great pair of jeans, but only if you can guess what size you are...

so good, I got a second pair
These are great jeans. Stiffer denim (as any raw denim should be) that will age well. Fit is pretty contemporary. Slim/skinny, without looking like they are tights.

They have a standard Slim Fit with a mid-rise; through the hip and thigh and slightly tapered. As far as the above image they are slimmer in person. I also think the raw denim is pretty rigid out of the package and can cause a weird bunch or push them to sit a little awkward. They need to wear in and, I plan on doing that. Will update when broken in.

Maybe I'm just oddly shaped, but the fit on these just didn't work for met at all. I'm usually a 31 or 32. The 32 in these was quite tight in the thighs and calves but the waist was way too loose; it fit more like a 33+. With or without a belt, the waist slipped down and bunched up uncomfortably. The waist on the 31 fit pretty well (still a little loose), but I could barely get them on my legs and sitting down was out of the question. They did seem like nicely built and good looking pants, just not designed for runners, skiers, etc. with more muscle than average in the thigh and calf.

Just got these last night.
Wearing them this morning, I am super impressed for a raw denim, these feel supple(not like stretch jeans, but supple for Raw) and I am really impressed by the cut, they are roomy without feeling baggy, they are actually cut for movement, and they have the right length in the rise both front and back. Super impressed. I wear a 31 in AG, 32 in levis, 33 in patagonia, and I am a 32 in these. 160lbs, 5'10"

A short 32"
These just arrived and the quality is awesome. The fit in the thigh is great for my biker legs and the taper is subtle—not skinny jeans but not baggy. However, not keeping them because the inseam is super short. I am 6'1" and 175 lbs, I ordered a 33 not realizing the inseam is a universal 32 and the hem is above my ankle bone. Bummer. 33/34 would be great.

Great denim, price, & fit. Size up.
Absolutely love these. Great fit. Raw, rigid, durable hand-feel to the denim, with just the right amount of stretch. These became my daily drivers instantly. Wear them lots and they're going to look better and better with age. Awesome price for this quality of denim. I agree with Sam and would recommend sizing up 1" in the waist. MASSIVE improvement from the beloved Roark Drifter jean.

Great price for good denim
These pants are made from great quality denim. The fit is more narrow than I usually wear, but the stretch makes them very comfortable. I had to size up.

Do these jeans shrink much in the wash?
January 31, 2019
Hi David, Thanks so much for the question. If you follow the washing instructions that are on the tag it should remain the size that they are now! Chris
