Bigger is Better
These are absolutely the answer. No reason not to have massive nippers.

Emphasis on BIG
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Man, these things are awesome! They are, as the title indicates, quite large. I find the size nice as they are easy to find and harder to lose.

Good but heavy
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These are larger than most other nippers out there, but they cut well and are easy to hold. They are also a LOT heavier than I thought, so if you are a lightweight fly fishermen, you may want to order the smaller ones from the same manufacturer.

Won't Lose Em

These Nippers do the trick. The larger size makes them easier to find in my pack and will hopefully prevent me from losing them.

Salt Water Fly Tackle Staple
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These nippers are much better value than the considerably more expensive Simms and Abel nippers for a quarter of the price. Big fan of this brand and this product. The regular Nippas are clearly for trout whereas the Big Nippas are more for freshwater big game and/or saltwater. The wider cutting surface is also appreciated especially when you are on a rocking boat or in severe weather.

Big Nippa
These are an awesome addition to my fishing setup. They are bigger than most clippers but they are easy to use and clip with ease.

Don't Leave Home without Em
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Seriously though, don't forget your nippers. If i had a dollar for every pair of nippers I've lost, id be a millionaire. Luckily rising makes quality price point fishing accessories that are really awesome. I have used their smaller standard nippers and have been impressed, now i am hoping that i wont lost the bigger one, because well, its big. Time will tell

Great nippers
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These are great nippers. Like other reviewers said, they are quite large. These are significantly larger than most other nippers out there, but they cut well and are easy to hold. They are a bit heavy so if you have them on a retractor they pull it a bit when stowed.

Big Pappi Nippers
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
So nice to have a pair of nippers that are actually made for human sized hands and just feel good in your hand. Cuts the thickest of leader and tippet with a .75" cutting blade and has a nice poker for getting gunk and crap out of your fly's eyelets. Once you go big nippers you can never go back... Stick with Big Nippa and you won't be disappointed!

Quit it
Quit fumbling to grab your nippers and make the switch to these guys. The originals work better than any others and there work just as good but bigger. And these are much better for cutting thicker lines.

Too big and too much function
I haven't used this yet but from first impression, they look sturdy and will get the job done. Will update with more info.

Give Them a Try
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I was a little hesitant to start using these, but after using a buddies for a weekend, I pulled the trigger. I wear them around my neck (and clip the forceps to the same lanyard). The only flaw with them is if you're fishing small dries or nymphs with +6x tippet. I find they are just too big and clunky to be effective with tippet that's practically invisible. Not impossible, but just not ideal. I use these as my primary nippers and only switch when small tippet is needed. For the price, you can't go wrong.

The Name Says it All
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
As the name implies, these nippas are large and in charge. They completely dwarf their predecessors, 'the nippa'! I was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger on these at first due to the size, but after fastening them onto a simple paracord lanyard, I don't dare leave home without them! Pair these with some badass pliers from Rising and you are dialed for a very long time to come. My personal preference is the Bob's Tactical Pliers, check em out!

They are big
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I was a bit embarrassed went I first picked up a pair of Big Nippas. They seemed like a joke they were so big. But I ended up loving them. Great of cold weather when your dexterity starts to suffer. They also have a wide cutting surface and stay sharp forever.

Saltwater delight
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
For salt I need a good pair of clippers hanging around my neck that will handle thick braid and 100 lb mono. These are the perfect solution to assist changing rigs, replacing hooks and tying new leaders. They're heavy duty, don't hurt your fingers on the thicker stuff, stay sharp, padded, look comically cool when flying and easy to locate in my gear bag. 2 thumbs up

Big Line... Big Fish... Big Nippa
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Picked these bad boys up for cutting thick fluoro, it has not problem ripping through the 60lb fluoro that I use when fishing for Muskie or Pike. A little overkill for trout fishing but if you are targeting bigger fish and using thicker line these are definitely the way to go. The needle on the back for clearing out the eye of the hooks is big too, definitely won't work on tiny dries and nymphs.

Indeed big
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Just like the title says, these are some big nippas! A little to large for me - I should have gone with the smaller version but they get the job done. Super sharp cutting blade making it easy to get off excess tippet.
