Designed with single-handed spey and and roll casters in mind, the RIO Trout LT WF Fly Line is the go-to choice when you require the most subtle presentations for success. The long front taper gently delivers tiny dries and nymphs while the MaxFloat Tip technology ensures you have the most buoyant line tip available.

    • MaxFloat Tip technology provides twice the buoyancy of regular line tips without increasing the line's diameter, ultimately providing longer presentations, softer pickups, and more fish
    • MaxCast technology uses a hydrophobic coating to provide lines that float better, shoot farther, and repel dirt to stay cleaner
    • Long front taper provides exceptionally gentle presentations
    • Rear weight distribution is ideal for single-handed spey and roll casting
    • Front and rear loops provide easy rigging
    • Perfect for dry flies, nymphs, and emergers
    • If you're buying a reel or spool and fly line, we'll be happy to rig it up for you, please give us a call at (855)-712-0513 for details

    Fish Like a Ninja

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Running this on my backpacking setup, a 4wt TFO and Ross Colorado LT. Need to get back out there for sure but this line is winning me over with the colors and most of all the line coatings.

    Smooth for delicate presentations!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Was recommend this line by a buddy after I told him I was getting the Orvis Super Fine glass rod which is super buttery and this line works great with that rod you can feel it load perfectly to lay that dry on a dime! Helped my accuracy and easy to mend super supple line that's allot of fun. The MaxFloat Tip floats higher than any other lines i've tried, and is perfect for fishing dry flies, nymphs, and emergers.

    My new favorite

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This line has quickly become my favorite line in my arsenal. It is soft and supple and it's long front taper makes delicate presentations of small bugs a breeze. I have it on my 4wt Classic Trout. Extremely sensitive to strikes helps you set the hook at the right time. My favorite thing about this line is how easily it mends, the MaxFloat Tip and they hydrophobic coating allows you to keep the line on top of the water and move it wherever you need to keep your fly drifting true. I would recommend this for any rod, 6wt and below.

    Dry Fly Line

This is my dry fly line. I have it in a 3 wt on a Redington Drift reel for my 7 ft 3 wt butter stick. This line is perfect for that rod. Long front taper allows for smooth and delicate presentations. The weight forward design gets plenty of action out of the small fiberglass rod. It is an absolute blast to cast. I like that the colors are more neutral/earth toned rather than having bright fluorescent colors.

      Good Delicate Presentation Line

I've fished this line on a Scott G2 9' 4 wt. and it did very well. I wouldn't match this line up with a faster action rod, but rather use it on your dry fly slower action rods. The longer front taper allows fro good roll casts in tight quarters.

        Nice line for trout fishing.

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used this line a few times now and I really like it. I got it because I didn't want to drop alot of cash on the best line and the Rio line is a great price especially now that it is on sale. I'm not the most experienced fisherman, but it is a nice line that doesn't hit the water to hard and the colors are not as noticeable to the fish

        Nice line for trout fishing.
