    Always have a spare.

After you and your bike take a dramatic dive into a large juniper bush, you probably should take inventory of yourself first, but we know you'll be lunging after your beloved trail companion before you even think about the wound on your knee. Once you realize your bike didn't fly over that embankment, you do notice your derailleur hanger is nowhere to be found. No matter. Reach into your pack for the Ridley X-Trail Derailleur Hanger and be on your way before your ride buddies up ahead even have the chance to wonder where you are.

This is the wrong one for carbon frame

This hanger does NOT fit the carbon frame. Must be for the alu model. I tried to install it. The carbon frame version is thinner and has a slightly different shape. CC: Please update the description...

I think this is the beefed up replacement DH...the originals bent easily. This one is thicker, but still should fit on the carbon models. I'm pretty sure that the aluminum model does not have a rear thru axle, it has a QR.

I believe that there is much confusion on the new 12mm TA deraileur hangers. The one pictured appears to be correct but there are 2 different part numbers for the X-night (2018) and the X-Trail with 12mm TA. Not sure if there actually is a difference but
Aubry's post implys that there could be.
