You can be certain that when Andre Greipel looks to add to his 11 stage wins and go after that elusive green jersey at this year's Tour, he will be aboard Ridley's Noah SL. And while he'll most likely be in the gruppetto going over the Alpine and Pyrenean climbs in an attempt to make it in before the stage's time cut, you could hardly blame the Noah's weight penalty over the Helium or Fenix for this, but rather the fact that Greipel is built to unleash near 1,800-watt sprints and he isn't a flyweight climber. All things considered, its carbon construction does build up a lightweight bike, and its FAST aero technology simply allows you to cover more ground with less energy while the oversized tubing efficiently transfers your power while sprinting for the county line on a Tuesday nighter or banging bars at a state crit championship. If all-out speed is what you're after, we have an excellent build in the Noah SL eTap Complete Bike that’s so fast, you'll need to perfect your victory celebrations.

This version of the Noah's earns the SL suffix denoting Ridley's inclusion of a mix of 60, 40, and 30-ton high-modulus carbon fiber into the frame's slippery tubeset. While the standard Noah tops out at 50-ton, by using 60-ton on the SL, it allows for the use of less material at critical areas on the frame so the bike doesn't lose any of its prized handling traits or responsiveness while dropping some grams. Ridley carefully lays up the SL's various carbon moduli in different areas of the frame to properly blend the correct stiffness, weight, durability, and ride comfort.

Other thoughtful frame details include a tapered head tube for precise tracking on high-speed descents and anchoring all of those out of the saddle sprinting watts and transferring it to the rear wheel. The oversized PF30 bottom bracket houses the spindle of the Rotor 3D30 crankset that also helps transmit the power to the drivetrain while coming in at a very respectable weight. Being that this is SRAM's stellar eTap build, you won't fully reap the benefits of the internal cable routing, but if you deviate from this build down the road, it might come in handy. The most unique feature, however, is its Future Aero Speed Technology (FAST) F-Surface design, which involves fluted channels running along the lengths of the forward-facing tubes to trip the air into a manageable layer of turbulence. That tripped layer detaches later and more cleanly, reducing the frame's wake and overall wind drag.

Likewise, the Noah SL's unique, high-modulus carbon fiber fork features an open channel running down the middle of each leg. This FAST F-Split Fork channel design is revolutionary in its ability to guide incoming air away from the spokes to reduce turbulence and drag, which keeps the airstream around the 30mm deep Mavic Cosmic Elite wheels smooth and fast. By pairing this fork with the FAST F-Surface design, Ridley claims that the Noah SL enjoys a 3-5% reduction in drag over frames without the FAST design. This means more speed with less effort, all thanks to a little bit of surface air routing.

Finally, Zipp provides the bar and stem with the Contour SL bar dropping the grams and providing the proper ergonomics to go with the eTap levers. Fizik takes care of the saddle duties with its ever-popular Aliante, an office favorite.

Please note that Ridley recommends a maximum rider weight of 209.5lb (95kg) for the Noah SL.
