Stay dry out there.
Built to endure some of the most demanding weather you'll encounter in the mountains, the Ride Men's Monthaven Jacket employs some of the most advanced waterproof, breathable technology available today. With a waterproofing and breathability rating of 20K/20K, the Monthaven protects you against harsh rain, sleet, and snow storms, while using 37.5 by Cocona to prevent the buildup of sweaty internal moisture from being trapped and bogging you down. Further ensuring your dryness, Ride uses fully taped seams with 3.5L Seam tape for a complete seal against the elements, and an Aquapel DWR coating to let precipitation bead and roll off this jacket's face.
Its 4-way stretch fabric promotes a more natural range of motion for hiking, slashing, and grabbing, while extra-long underarm zips make for an easy and quick way to dump any excess heat that may get trapped. A helmet-compatible hinge hood helps you stay protected from harsh weather, and the internal wrist gaiters help cinch out nasty weather under your gloves. Plus, a multitude of pockets keep your phone, wallet, keys, chocolate bars, and trail maps close at hand.

I work here at BC, I don't own this jacket I've just tried it on and checked out out. I was so impressed though I had to come leave this comment... One of the most impressive advances in jackets, to me, has been making them stretchy. Yet it still seems rare to actually find a decent jacket that I like the look of, that stretches, and that isn't too astronomically priced. This thing is definitely still pretty expensive, but compared to the other stretchy shell jackets I've checked out it's a pretty solid value.
In addition to the stretch, which makes it feel awesome, it also has a nice fit. Big and loose, but not excessively baggy just room to move and enough length to keep all the snow out.
If you're looking to go off the beaten path of the big name brands for your snowboard/ski jacket this year, but also want something with the most modern tech to keep you dry and comfy all season, I would highly recommend checking this out. After trying the one on I ordered one for myself, will post a more detailed review once I've put it to the test outdoors.
As for sizing, I ordered an XL because I like my jackets to be slightly over-sized. Large fit me, but would be pretty snug on days that I had to pile up the mid-layers.
