Blowing your riding expectations out of the water at a price that won't leave you picking up a second gig just to afford new gear, the Ride Manic Snowboard bucks the industry notion that higher priced boards are inherently more fun to ride. This board manages to stay super affordable, yet still slays everything from park kickers to fresh powder without leaving you wanting more.
Like its crazy name suggests, the Manic manages the seemingly impossible task of balancing affordability with riding performance, thanks to Ride's proven technologies packed into a versatile, shred-anything shape. Starting out with its design, the Manic is a directional board that's set-back enough to benefit from improved float and straight-line stability. The Directional Rocker is flat along the board's effective edge, making it highly predictable on carves and super-stable at speed. Tip and tail rocker keep the board smooth and catch-free, with the longer nose rocker bringing the benefit of extra float in the deep stuff we all crave.
Ride keeps the Manic refreshingly simple with its Foundation core, which features aspen wood from tip-to-tail for proven durability. Biax fiberglass allows for a bit more torsional flex, which is great for making quick turns without extra stiffness holding you back. Something rarely seen on boards in this price range, linear carbon stringers create a snappy sensation for boosting from jumps and sending natural hits. Another stand-out feature, urethane Slimewalls absorb vibration while preventing sidewall blow-outs when you inevitably smash the board into tree limbs lurking just beneath the snow.
