Make your own tie-off point.
If you're a little puzzled about the naming of the Rhino Bonnet Anchor Strap, don't worry. Australia-based Rhino Racks keeps Americans on their toes by throwing a few bits of their native slang in from time to time, and this anchor strap's moniker refers to its favored position at the hood of your vehicle. When you're carrying a long kayak or canoe and run out of tie-off points, use the Bonnet Anchor Strap instead of throwing caution to the wind and create your own extra point of security. Place the anchor inside your trunk or hood (boot or bonnet), close the door, and use the attached strap to tie off your craft.

So remember, if you need two, order two, as they do not come as a pair, my bad. So now-- double shipping charges. As for the anchor strap, good quality and probably the best heavy duty unit I have found. I'm sure it will handle whatever job it needs to, and should last many years. Just don't assume they are sold as a pair like many other anchor straps on the market.
