These rims feature a 23mm internal and 32mm external width that allows for wider, all-terrain tires to have a greater footprint improving comfort, rolling resistance, and traction on chip seal and gravel roads. The 40mm deep rims help in the aerodynamics department and improve stiffness so can hit ruts and corner with more confidence than before. Tires are easier to set up tubeless and you'll enjoy the backroads in total confidence. The ATR rims are laced to Reynolds Allroad Disc hubs using 24 steel spokes front and rear for lightweight performance and an excellent ride quality. The freehub engages every 10 degrees for 36 points of engagement letting you get right back on the gas and up to speed after coasting the downhill. Center Lock disc mounting lets you reap the benefits of powerful, all-condition braking and will also work with existing 6-bolt rotors with adapters. The ATRs are built to take a beating and come back begging for more.
These wheels come with hub set up for thru-axles front (12 x 100mm and 15 x 100mm) and rear (12 x 142mm). Additional adapters for quick releases are available separately. Reynolds offers a lifetime warranty on this wheelset.

Great wheels, but rim tape not so much
- I've used it several times
These wheels have worked great so far over a half dozen or so gravel rides, and so far are riding great. My one quibble is the rim tape - it wasn't fully stuck overlapping, and very easily gets pushed around when mounting a tire. I'm sure Reynolds uses it as it's very thin and light, but if you're running tubeless, you'll save yourself some future headaches if you swap in some better rim tape from the start.

These are the best gravel wheels I've ever ridden, and they're probably the best deal on the market, especially since mine were on sale. They're everything a gravel wheelset is supposed to be - stiff and wide but compliant and aero without catching crosswinds. I've had them a week and ridden them 5 times so far on 2 different bikes. Had them on pavement and gravel in every kind of wind, dirt and mud. I set them up with 40 mm Schwalbe G-Ones at about 30 psi front and 32 rear. I weigh about 160 pounds. Seems like the sweet spot. My last gravel wheelset were Boyd 36s, which share the exact same hub internals. Those wheels are capable on gravel but are not designed for it. They were too stiff for gravel and did not provide enough compliance. They're going to be my road wheels. These Reynolds wheels have transformed my Cervelo Aspero. It's a very stiff bike and was beating me up on the old rims. These wheels are just as fast or maybe faster, but they absorb road chatter and provide much better handling, especially on rough stuff like washboard. The comfort is more like my old Stan's Iron Cross aluminum hoops. It's like going from tubes to tubeless. On my scale, the rear wheel weighs 882g and the front 755g, for a total of 1,637g for the pair, with tape and end caps but without valves, cassette or rotors. That's respectable for a 40mm deep rim. These are the same rims Reynolds uses on their higher end ATR wheels which weigh less, so the difference is in the hubs, spokes and nipples where it's less noticeable. These have brass nipples, so less prone to cracking than aluminum, and round steel spokes. These are solid hubs. The straight pull spokes are one feature that make them quick to accelerate. I've had my old wheels for about a year, and like I said, these have the exact same internals with Revo Cream bearings. I've had no problems with the old ones whatsoever, and they're easy to service. It's a 4-pawl design with a hub body that you can pull off without removing the cassette, like DT Swiss and some others, and the axle comes out with it. Another factor is the limited lifetime warranty. I read the fine print before buying. They're not the only company with a similar warranty, but this one is good. There's a crash replacement and free shipping on repairs for a period of time, 2 years maybe. After that you get a discount on replacement parts. It's worth the extra price of buying new wheels. Can't imagine why anyone would get Enve or Zipp over these. Great value with Reynolds.

What’s the optimal tire size for these rims, ideally looking for these to run in a bike that has 30mm clearance - can I run 30mm tubeless tires in these rims or is that too skinny?
