Back in the day, the Red Wing Heritage Blacksmith 6in Boot would have been worn when we were shoeing a horse or tilling the field. Today, we can wear it when we're wrenching on our bike or taking a ride downtown.
The natural leather upper is built to break in for more comfort over time, and the boot is made with a Goodyear welt, ensuring it will withstand the test of time. The Mini-lug Vibram sole offers adequate traction whether you're working in the fields or taking a walk through stumptown.

Beautiful, sturdy, and well-made!
Love these boots! You can immediately tell they're handmade and crafted with attention to detail. My only issue is that it looked like there was already some scuffing on the leather before I'd even taken the boots out of the box - made me wonder if perhaps these had been returned already by someone else? I decided to keep them regardless because they're in perfect condition otherwise, but that's something that caught my attention. Wondering if RedWing might be able to shed light on why some of the leather already seemed worn? Beyond that - great boots and would highly recommend. These will likely last me my lifetime if properly taken care of, so the investment is worth it.

Amazing looking pair of boots, but...
Amazing-looking pair of boots but why are heels different? Come on guys I don't believe there were not two same heels in warehouse. My inner perfectionist is very sad.

Working well
I bought these boots because I wanted a semi dress boot for work. They are very classy, I didn't want the stitch over the toe like on the Iron boot. I recently got them super muddy and was playing in snow. Held up well, cleaned easy, kept my feet dry in about 8 inch of snow - they were covered in muddy water. 3 weeks old and semi broken in nicely - still need some work around the upper ankles. Now they are shined up and ready for my usual work grind. Service at the shop was also really good.

Classic style and feel
I have not had these boots long enough to speak on their break in/ durability but they are comfortable to me out of the box. I find them slightly more conservative than IRs and I have owned both models in the Rough and Tough leather which is an excellent leather choice. I purchased a pair of briars for my little brother and he loves them.

Loving these boots
These are my first Redwing boots and the first pair of any kind of shoes that I didn’t want to take off after a full day of work. A pleasure to wear and they look great. Thanks to the staff of the Granada Hills store for being so helpful!

Great looking boot
I own a pair of iron rangers in a wide width and have been trying to get a pair of blacksmiths for years. The black color at is exactly my style and I went as far as bringing in a pair to my local store. Ended up not purchasing because they don’t come in a wide width and even sizing up didn’t feel comfortable. When will redwing add a wide to this style?

Second pair of Red Wings
I was bit by the heritage boot bug roughly 8 months ago with my first purchase being a pair of 1907's. I was looking for a boot that gave a classic look, was comfortable, well built, and felt good on my feet. The Blacksmith checks all of those boxes. As with my 1907's I did go a full size down and wear boot socks. These are comfortable right out of the box, and there was no break in period. Looking forward of many years with these boots.

My Favorite Boot That I Own!
Look I own a lot of boots. I will say this, I always go back to my Blacksmiths. The break in wasn't hard at all. I could wear them daily out of the box. Once they did break in though, to me? They have become the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned. I have a pair of 3343s that I wear every day to work and I love them so much, that I just put in an order for another pair to wear on the weekends. The quality is top notch. Stitching is great and the copper rough and tough leather is very durable. I work in construction so they get tested. My current pair is over 2 years old and they are have many more years left in them. They are roomy in the toe box and they also fit snug in the heel. I love the mini lug sole as well. It has enough traction but doesn't pick up a lot of dirt/debris. The boots are great because they are durable enough to work in every day, break in was minimal, they are extremely comfortable as well as light weight, and they look great too. I strongly recommend this boot. I will say this, the copper rough and tough when worn enough and conditioned with mink oil will change color and texture (as seen in the photo below). But if you just wear them on the weekends? Just wipe them down and give them a good brushing. The leather is hydrated and tough enough that if you aren't abusing them on a jobsite every day? They will only need conditioned with Red Wing Boot Cream like twice a year. If that's your situation, they won't change all that much. My 1907s are a weekend boot. They are over 3 years old and they still look pretty close to new. If you wear them to work every day? Subject them to water, mud, and abrasion on a daily bases? Then condition them every 1 to 3 months with mink oil. If you keep your boots clean the will last for years. This leather is very tough. So thanks again Red Wing. Can't wait to get my new pair!
