Classic Moc Boot

The Red Wing Heritage Classic Moc Boot was built with two things in mind: the safety and comfort of the workers who wore them. The Traction Tred rubber soles are built with minimal tread in order to help shed mud and dirt, while still maintaining the grip you need for varied job sites. Leather insoles and cork midsoles provide support and comfort, and become more comfortable over time as they mold to your feet. Goodyear welt construction and durable nickel eyelets ensure these boots will stand the test of time.

  • Classic leather moccasin originally designed for work
  • Full-grain leather offers rough & tough durability
  • Leather footbed and cork midsole offer customized support
  • Goodyear rubber sole welted for additional water resistance

I use these shoes daily and they have broken nicely. They are on the expensive side but you pay for quality . They are my favorite shoes to wear. The only thing that I wish was I ordered a half size smaller.

I distinctly remember my dad telling me when I was 19 "That's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on boots" . That was 6 years and one resole ago, money well spent in my mind. Red wing does so much to create a premium boot: the stitching, the soft sole which conforms to your foot profile, the construction of the cork midsole, and only the best leathers around. I've never loved a piece of clothing more than my mocs. With leather care, washing, and treating them right, I expect these bad boys to last at least a decade and a half. Make sure to size them right *from the start* the leather will stretch.

Why would I pay this much for a pair of work shoes? Part of the reason was that I trust Red Wing shoes, I know their reputation. the shoes fit perfectly, and give good support.

These boots are well made and are equally at home on the job site as they are on the town. I didn't find the break-in period to be as tedious as some other reviewers. Be sure to go a half size down.

These boots are made to last but they also look awesome. They are a little stiff at first but starting to break in. I sprayed them with some leather protector and they look the same as before I sprayed them which is good. I got the oil slick color and they go great with dark jeans.

These boots are awesome - well-made, cool (they get a lot of compliments), and comfortable. Caution though, they take a couple weeks to wear them in (unless for some reason you already have calluses built up on your ankles where the boot hits. Once you do, though, you'll be in heaven.

This month is my birthday, and the gift has arrived! Normally wear a 9.5, but I got a 8.5, and I think I made the correct choice, time will tell. Lets see the break-in period.

This

Update, almost a year later. Break-in period: around two weeks of using them around the house. Down side, runs large, so big that I can't wear it anymore, I had to give the shoes to my dad. FWIW, I bought the 1907 model, size 8.5, and it fits great. So, with the Classic Moc Boot I should had bought the 7.5 size

My grandpa wore these boots. The design is timeless and classic RedWing. I'm on my third pair, they last on average about 4-5 years. You can get them resoled, and they'll probably last another 4-5 years. They get more and more comfortable the more you wear them, break-in period is about a week or so. During that period leather actually starts to form to your foot and ankle. They are keep out the rain and snow, very well. Wore them for years walking to work in Seattle winters. If I could only keep one pair of boots from the many pairs I own, it would be these, every time. Some reviews claim they run large, but I've found that I size down from my sneaker size.

These are great boots! They are definitely a little large so I would buy them a little smaller, maybe a half size. If you are a looking for a solid boot with tons durability then this is a boot for you!

These are some of the best work boots I have owned. They are made of high quality leather and with that being said they do take some time to break in. Once you break them in the leather molds to your feet and they are super comfortable. They do run a bit big and I had to go down a full size in mine but if you are unsure about sizing I would try and go to one of the Red Wings stores and get sized up before buying because they will fit tight at first but once they break in they will get looser and you do not want the boot to loose. Also Red Wings have a great warranty on them and if your soles every get really warn down just take them to their shop or send them in and they will give you a new sole either for free or for really cheap!!

When considering this boot, I normally wear an 11 in New Balance and Nike. What size should I go with in these?
